What will be GOTY for 2011?

I generally want to know what you guys think what game will be The Game Of The Year for 2011. I don't care if it is not out yet or what genere or system it is on. Just say what you think it will be. I think it will be The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, considering the fact Oblivion was game of the year and Skyrim looks ten times better than Oblivion.

Probably Skyrim.

Although, I think L.A. Noire stands a chance, the game shows great promise. Hopefully a sequal will refine on everything and make a truly amazing game.

Hard to say. Best Shooter Catagory would be a competition between Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, Duke Nukem (ha!), and Mass Effect 3. Hard to say at this point, but I do believe it will be tightly contested.

Either 'The Witcher 2' or 'Skyrim', though I highly doubt that streamlined Skyrim would be MY game of the year.

Skyrim looks like a great game, although I haven't played a single Elder scrolls game before it, so I'm not sure what I'm getting in to.

Also, don't you mean Mass Effect 3? ME2 came out a while ago, and won many awards already

OT: Probably Mass Effect 3.

As for what game I want to win... well so far Witcher 2. Mainly because CD Projekt Red are awesome dudes and their policies are awesome.

Make the game you want and to hell with what's popular.
Free DLC included in updates.

WHy not ask me about the GOTY for 2012? I have just about as much knowledge on both subjects i.e. very little and not enough to make an accurate assessment on. Anyways, I really don't know and don't care GOTY is just a pissing contest that people like to debate about since there is no objective way to judge such a thing. Go to the local store, point at a random game and I'll make it my choice. I really care that little.

OT: My vote so far goes to L.A. Noire. Can't see anything but MW3 changing that.

If skyrim doesn't win it then MW3 will because everybody plays it. Unfortunately the modern gaming community are some how convinced that first person shooters are the only game genre available and that when somebody says "oblivion" or "skyrim" they are just frown down upon those who play RPG games....Don't get me wrong I do enjoy first person shooters a lot but I have played elder scrolls and fable games
