It will most likely be some game from years ago that I just get around to, but if you're talking new releases, it's a tie between Batman Arkham Origins and Watch Dogs. They seem to be the only games I'm interested in for the foreseeable future.

Hard to say when I still have Persona 4 Arena, Valkyria Chronicles and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 sitting next to my PS3 waiting to be played (seriously looking forward to them but I've played nothing but Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden these past two months).

I also plan on getting the Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD remakes for the system.

If I had to choose right now... probably Skyrim. I've clocked the most hours on that out of all my PS3 games. Honorable mention goes to The Last of Us.

In my Wii. Probably one of my Sonic games.

In my 360 Bayonetta most likely.

PS3 that's a toughy. Any one of my Naruto Ultimate Ninja games that I poured countless hours into but symbolically it will probably be Final Fantasy XIII-2. Say what you will that series is not as bad as people make it out to be and XIII-2 did what a proper sequel should do and improved on just about everything that was wrong with the original.

No idea really.Would have to answer that in next 3 years, if they keep the great games coming that long. Though im sure most AAA stuff will be for the next gen consoles.

This year i think it will be either Lego Marvel or Watchdogs on the 360. May get GOTY of Skyrim at some point.

Batman, because my Xbox 360 RROD'd like the POS bit of equipment it was.
Ouch. I hope that doesn't happen to mine. Its the R2D2 Xbox. It would be sad. :( Seriously though if the Xbone has something like that then I think that might be the final nail in the coffin for people's faith in Microsoft when it comes to gaming. Even after they revoked most of their policies the PR surrounding the whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth. Wii U and PS4 for the win next gen.

I'll be buying Dragon Age: Inquisition for my 360, I know it?ll also be available for the next gen, but I have no intention of buying the next box or PS4.
I could just buy it for the pc, but my saves, my saves!
I don't know if this has changed at all, but last I heard they were having some trouble getting save imports to work because they're changing engines, so they're gonna be launching with a save generator. Kind of like the ones they did for ME but apparently much more detailed, not just for main story events. Assuming all of this is still accurate you might be able to get it for PC anyways.

Anyways, I'm not sure what'll be in mine symbolically or otherwise. I like to revisit stuff a lot, plus there's a lot of stuff I haven't finished yet or haven't bought yet, so it could be any number of things. I only just managed to start in on Resistance, and I still need to get Infamous.

In terms how the Gen-7 is closing out, I may not have it yet but GTA V feels like the grand finale of the generation on a whole, even if Beyond did launch well after. Sorry Beyond, I liked Heavy Rain and all, but well... As far as specific consoles go, The Last of Us feels like the glorious end for the PS3, while the 360 went out on a high note with Halo 4. And pretty much the only three things I ever used my Wii for were the Metroid Prime Trilogy, SH: Shattered Memories, and DS: Extraction. Umbrella Chronicles was pretty fun I guess.

This is why I'm generally not an early adopter of hardware, I don't want it bursting into flames in my living room in the middle of the night. Assuming it doesn't end up being unbearably terrible I'll probably end up getting one eventually though. I was sure there were reasons other than Halo 5, but now I can't seem to remember what they are haha

Err - the question about PC is kind of ... weird, because I'm a PC gamer 99% of the time and there are a bunch of games out on PC that I tend to keep going back to. So I can't answer this one in all honesty. Not to mention the fact I wouldn't even know which 8th gen console games ARE going to get a port and which won't...
Yeah I found wording the PC part was awkward, mostly because I barely PC game and I'm aware that most people at The Escapist are PC gamers.
Eh, we don't need to be included in every thread :p The generational change only affects PC gamers insofar as it forces cheapskates like myself to upgrade XD

I do console game as well, though, so if I do get the next-gen consoles I might play Sonic '06 on the 360 again, as it was the first current-gen game that I played. Or maybe Assassin's Creed on the PS3, as it was the first current-gen game I played that I liked.

The only reason I early adopted the Wii U. I know how Nintendo works, I know they make good stuff, I know Bayonetta 2 is right around the corner, and I know they don't make hardware that is widely known for destroying itself. Seriously I don't think I've ever heard of wide spread complaints of N 64s, Gamecubes, or Wiis dying after so long that you have to replace them.

Perhaps I should reword to "What will be the last game you play before the next gen's Crysis or The Witcher 2 comes out?". I don't know much but I hear that when buying a gaming PC you must load one of them two up to see whether your PC will explode or not.
