It seems like people aren't so keen on letting go the idea that children touching each other in any manner whatsoever is dangerous.
All it takes is a bit of adult responsibility to teach kids now to not abuse skin contact, but its easier to try to ban the whole thing outright, in schools, at least.

Social networks, and the internet, especially likely since the newspapers and TV news don't have the popularity they used to, and so demonising the competition is a very tempting and potentially beneficial tactic.
Except for the bacon, I doubt that these things will cause violence in today's youth because that would require them to care about said issues. At least in the states.Th3Ch33s3Cak3 said:

Realistically, humanity will be the next thing that causes violence. We've always loved violence long before any virtual stimulation existed, and that's not going to change until science finds a way to alter a humans personality.

I don't think it will be some kind of advanced video-game like virtual reality, because video-games are pretty much our generation's thing. When virtual reality comes along, we won't be banning it, we'll be the ones playing it (likely with our children looking down on us and our old-fashioned, game-playing ways).
I think it will have to be something completely different to anything we've experienced in our youths, like how different video-games were to anything that came before them, and how different movies were to anything that came before them. Unfortunately, this makes it kind of hard to guess at. I'll go with... Walrus Skating.
