Are you sure? I have a mother who works in a school and three younger siblings who all go to various levels in the school system (UK) and I've never of any rules like that.

Everything causes violence. Humans have anger its an emotion exhibited for thousands of years and anger leads to violence if it is pushed further. Children need to stop being coddled and start being beaten again. They hit something hit them back, they get out of line put them back there. Don't ask kindly, don't let children tell you what to do or get their way by crying. Honestly the largest cause of violence is children is bad parenting. Every parent is so afraid of doing anything to or for their children except what the child wanted, and kids are really dumb.

Sorry but that's not true. One of the typical requisites for someone becoming violent is them being a victim of violence themselves, particularly as a child. "Beating" children will only lead to a huge increase in violence and that fact is backed up by numerous studies such as the source I have linked. Do you have any evidence for your claim? Even in my own family I can see this to be true, my little sister fights with my brother far more often than she does with anyone-else, even though he's the only one of the family who will hit her back and cause her to cry often. Discipline is important but in a controlled manner.
