Considering the multiple endings of Fallout 1 and 2 somehow getting resolved into a neatly canonical package for later Fallout games, I don't see why Mass Effect couldn't play by the same canon rules.apsham said:Well I dunno if they actually will - but if they do, wouldn't they just make it canon that most of your team dies?
Whhaaaa? You are totally wrong - Gatherers will attack him in Mass Effect 4, and in Mass Effect 3 his ship will be attacked by Harvesters and he will be returned to life by Terra Firma.Irridium said:Your ship will be attacked by a new enemy known only as "The Gatherers". You, and your allies, will die, but you will be brought back to life by the Blue Suns. They're leader, "The Secretive Man" will then tell you he brought you back to stop the Reapers and The Gatherers. And when you mention how all the previous Blue Suns you've fought were all just hapless mooks doing bad things, he'll just say they were rouge elements.
Game over. this has been stated many times.Ephraim J. Witchwood said:Hmmm... Interesting thought... What happens if you import a save in which Shepard died? o_oMr_Universal said:Well, I think that they will make it optional for you to load in your saved games from ME2, and then it will correct itself from the data there, for example who died in the final mission and who did not.

Exactly.Sean.Devlin said:Why would they disappear?
If this happens then I think I will laugh, cry and shout at the same time.Irridium said:Your ship will be attacked by a new enemy known only as "The Gatherers". It is confirmed IN MASS EFFECT 2 (RTF loading screen) that you will be able to import saves, just as you could do with Mass Effect 1. There will be over 1000 variables transfered to ME3. Also, if you die, it's not canon and you cannot import it into ME3.Ephraim J. Witchwood said:Hmmm... Interesting thought...
