How I see 2509.
Space travel will by then be advanced, with scientific colonies on the Moon and Mars. Earth will be a cesspool. At this point, the world will be over-populated.(lets say 30 billion, which is a VERY conservative number.) Almost everyone will live in massive super-cities made of tall skyscraper apartments(a mile or two high)that house thousands. There is no personal transportation, only public transit(probably trains and helicopters or other vertical take-off aircraft.). Most will be poor or lower-middle class. World will be made of large empires / federations, and taking into account trends in modern nations(i'm looking at you England) they will all probably dictatorships / oligarchies. Crime, disease, famine and war will be a daily thing. Good chance for a one child only birth control policy.Average life expectancy will be 40-50 years if your lucky.
On the other hand, the rich, the politicians and the generally lucky ones will live in space stations. They will probably live luxurious lives. Average life expectancy will be 125 years. Also I'm guessing resources on Earth have been completely exhausted and there will be mining on Mars and the surrounding asteroid belt. Said mining will be carried out by pseudo-slaves, most likely people from earth trying to escape and to help their families. Average life expectancy will be 30 years.
tl;dr :Life on Earth will be shit, life on other planets will be even shittier and the rich will live long, safe but empty lives in space.
