What will Mojang (creators of minecraft) be up to in 10 years in your opinion?

I thought of this question while reading the march mayhem threads where Mojang is one the competitors. It seems to be brushing through the competition quite easily so what do you think they will be doing in 10 years time and what will people think of them?

My guess probably focusing on minecraft with some smaller projects on the side, probably with varying levels of innovation.

Using a different name, operating out of a different country using a similar game concept.

Unless Notch gets some competent developers, not much.
And even then, Minecraft wasn't even an original idea, so unless they somehow get competence and originality in 10 years, I don't foresee them being the videogame juggernaut that everyone feels they deserve to be.

Hopefully they'll make Minecraft as good as it can be, and with any luck won't milk it to death. It'd be interesting to see what else they come up with, though...

its really only the kids here.

Now, I haven't been here much in the past while, do people here even like that "Scrolls" game? sounds like cash-grabbing rubbish to me/

I don't see it taking off, and minecraft sales have been slowing down now (especially when you're now paying for JUST the beta, meaning the last reasonable update he does will cost one, which is just greedy of him)

No, notch will just, with the money left over after scrolls flops, live out the rest of his days in decent luxury making his own copies of indie games, maybe he'll have another hit.

I think it's more that they've become a symbol of successful Indie gaming. Well, as measured by money and users obviously.

Personally I'm more inspired by Tarn and Zach Adams' flagship game. While generally not as popular as Minecraft, it still draws in enough money from donations to keep them focused on it.

I imagine they'll be taking classes on how to make computer games with half decent graphics, that are still entertaining.

I agree with the people who say that they probably will be a one hit wonder, unable to replicate the success of their first title for whatever reason.

I might take a moment to consider the possibility that you're not trolling, but then I saw that you're also on probation.

Your opinion has been disregarded.

OT: I feel like they're going to finish a couple more projects and quit while they're ahead, with some of the team creating/joining major developers.

Probably nothing.

So far Minecraft is all they've done, and frankly it's getting a little stale.

Hopefully they'll be ALMOST ready for a full release of Minecraft! (Haha! I keed I keed).

I'd like to see them set into an expansion strategy for minecraft wherein they release more and more fantastical versions of it.

O clap clap clap, because you have to troll to get probation in overly sensitive criticism land.

Your opinion on my opinion is obviously voided by your blatant disregard for others opinions, irony! 'Cause y'know, your opinion is the only one that counts.

I stand by what I said, Minecraft is very entertaining, but it doesn't have any graphics to speak of, and I think they could reproduce it with graphics and still not ruin the game-play simplicity.

They will have worked their way up, and will be trying to create a competing pay to play MMO for WoW. They will fail because World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Cataclysmic Crusade With Ninjas and Pirates will have just hit the shelves. Terrible tragedy because Minecraft: The Online Sensation would have been a great game, but it just couldn't compete with WoW. =/

You would be extremely surprised if you saw the list of regular players and the amount of servers created is quite impressive. The game hasn't gone through it's "Golden Days" yet so I wouldn't give up on it just yet.
I play it everyday and never get bored. Mind you I play online with friends so this makes it more enjoyable.
Build and build and build and build and START AGAIN! :D

You can download texture packs for the game and this can make the graphics much more appealing :)

Eh. Minecraft was just a fluke. Notch will have given up on making games and will be living off his Minecraft millions for the rest of his days.

Are you saying that the blocky graphics of Minecraft are awful? If you are, you best be puttin' up your flame-shield, son.

Ot: They'll probably be shut down *Says while playing Minecraft which he's had since Alpha*, left to waste in the square pixels of time. If they're still up and running, they'll probably have a sequel to MC called Craftmine: A game where you craft stuff that's automatically yours, with a German tone to it! But, honestly, Mojang AB will probably end up (hopefully) doing well. If not, then hopefully they at least had a quiet passing away.
