What will Yahtzee review this year?

Portal 2 will be an interesting one - given his disdain for multiplayer and the fact that it can't possibly live up to the positive review he gave to Portal. That said, if it does turn out that the focus is on the co-op at the expense of the single player he won't be the only one raging.

Human Revolution should be a good one as well, since it's also got a lot to live up to. (I think the Deus Ex song was a brilliant 'review' of the original)

And eventually he'll have to do Minecraft. Can't imagine how he could possibly hate the sandboxiest sandbox of all, though the addictiveness and lack of any actual objective other than "wander about and build stuff" could offer some fuel for his fire.

My prediction would be that it won't be top 10 games material. But he will at least mildy enjoy it.

I think Bulletstorm will dissapoint him. I mean, it's by people can fly, who made painkiller, which he loves. And it just doesnt look like the kinda think he'd enjoy.

this sounds exactly lime the sort of game he'd enjoy. He seems to enjoy games that take the time to do something different and over-the-top fun. He tends to trash games that recycle the same run-and-gun thrills of every other game.

There's still time for a Donkey Kong Country Returns review...even though it won't be much of a review: I see him mentioning it in another review and, reminding us about Nintendo's policy of re-releasing the same games over and over. I think he'll also mention artsy-fartsy-bullshit-o-vision effects as seen in the sunset levels. If there is a full review of Donkey Kong though, I think it would be positive over-all (but then, I am playing that game with a full pot of nostalgia and could be mistaken about the overall goodness of that game)

As for actual 2011 games and not 2010 games which were missed: Portal 2 is a shoe-in for a show, especially if it turns out to be terrible. Doesn't Gears 3 come out this year too? I see a review of that and Mass Effect 3 (once again; especially if they turn out to be shit) As for the token hand-held review...probably more iPhone games or something since he never reviews Pokemon...or at least he hasn't reviewed any of the past games that I've seen.

Portal 2. He's probably going to criticize it for being "overblown" and "longer than it should be." That and he'll complain about the new ending for the first game; saying that it's just ruins catharsis.

At this rate, I think Duke Nukem Forever might actually come out before HL2 EP3. I have a feeling they'll be developing a pretty full game for this one, expecting 12 chapters at the least which kind of makes me wander why they made it episodic in the fucking first place but oh well. If the games kneecaps don't shatter under the weight of expectation, then it should be a pretty damn good conclusion to The Chronicles of Freeman. Don't think I'll see a better FPS than HL2 in my lifetime though, but with any luck I can be proven horribally wrong.
