What will you do if the Spider Man reboot is actually good?

If it's actually good, I'll enjoy it.

If it's actually bad, I will not.

The world keeps spinning, and my life keeps going either way.

As somewhat of a Spiderman nerd, I will be pleasantly surprised if it's good, and I will attack every forum in sight with minute deconstructions on every minute detail of why it was terrible if it's not.

Find a reason to hate it probably. Success in my mind reduces the chances of Marvel regaining the license and having Spiderman appear in an Avengers movie, so even if it's great I'm pretty much biased.

I'll just enjoy another good movie I guess. Though I really question the logic in making a reboot rather than just making a sequel that doesn't suck as much, the casting and overarching continuity of the 3 movies was solid.

That or Sony could just sell the movie license back to Marvel. Marvel Studios ftw!

Watch it, consider how well done it was and decide whether the reboot was justified or not. If it is just another Spiderman 3, I will not be impressed.

I'm going to see it myself and determine if it's good. Simple plan, really. I hate reboots, but after the Hulk had a sucessful kinda-reboot, I'm going to give the new Spidey a chance.

But honestly, I'd feel more confident if Sony gave the movie license to Marvel Studios.

I actually don't really get the reboot. There was only one really bad spider-man movie and that was 3. I don't see why they can't just continue the the movie series. Even if they are going to do a reboot the least they could do is go with an alternate spider-man, like unlimited or at the very least not restart from the very beginning again. Everybody knows his origin he got bit by the bloody spider! We get it. How about they start a movie where the villains aren't dead. They could use the universe where all the villains are alive. I'm tired of the stereotype that in nearly every single super hero movie the main villain dies at the end.

I'll do something like "That was surprisingly good, but so was Eat Pray Love."

I'm actually kinda hopefull, I mean they've got a good cast so far. I just hope they undo the mess that was Spiderman 3, have decent a Venom and not have Peter Parker dancing down the street shooting his fingers... and all will be forgiven.
too true man to true
OT: ill be ok with it being better i mean spiderman 1&2 were good but yeah after spiderman 3 it died a horrible death........

Meh. I'll see it and maybe enjoy it. But it won't change anything. I never liked Spiderman. I mean, I respect the characters history and that. But I just don't care for him.

I know people get all pissy with haters of every franchise, but come ON, the original Spiderman franchise was TERRIBLE.

The first movie was terrible, the second movie is functionally unwatchable, and what the hell was even the point with the third movie?

Whatever. Any reboot with a new cast will be a dramatic improvement over the original movies, but its spiderman, so it will still not be cool.

I definitely won't make up my mind about it until I see it, since Toby Maguire isn't in it. He was the one thing I hated about the Spidey movies the most. He was just such a douchebag of a character and when he looked angry he looked like a dumbarse because he has that mouth that makes it look like he's always smirking a little bit, so I couldn't take him seriously when he was trying to be angry.

I will only base Spiderman off of the comics, and never off any movie. That is his original character, and that is what makes him awesome.

I dunno, I watched them all recently and aside from the third movie and Peter's relentless pursuit of that insufferable ****, Mary Jane, I found them pretty damn good. There was a lot of character development that made me care about the characters and what happened to them (except Mary Jane).

Seriously, if you think I'm being harsh on MJ, go watch them again. Her character is pretty well written where she comes from a broken household and ends up dragging everyone around her down, but Peter's pursuit of her is unfathomable. He just had the hots for her growing up and is unable to let that go, even though she's a ***** 99% of the time to him. If he isn't bending over backwards for her, she dumps him for some other prettyboy and Peter takes this as a sign of HIS failure.
