My acquaintance isn't going trick-or-treating, but he's passing out candy, so he's being something truly horrifying, so people run away rather than taking candy. He's going as a pedophile. He's holding the bowl of candy on his lap with a slight smile on his face, and telling kids to "just reach your hand in, no, from the bottom."
