What would be a great setting for Assassin's Creed 3

At the end of AC2, they say that they want to give Desmond some more time in the animus. So going back in time again is pretty much confirmed, at least for the first half. Based on all of the conspiracy theory junk and plot that was revealed so far, I'm actually going to go off on a limb and say we're going to middle-america around the time that the Mayans die out.

Now hear me out:
The time period we're looking at is about 1500 A.D., still in the future from the first game, though not by much. The main reason I say this is because I think they're gonna pull the whole mayan calander thing and how they "predicted" a rise in solar activity that will cause the end of the world. This plot point was in fact mentioned at the end of the game. Also, the stone cities of the mayans would surely allow for Assassin's Creed's core gameplay and temples would most likely hold dungeons much like those found in the assassin tombs.

I doubt we would be playing an american assassin. It would most likely be Ezio, given the time period, but this will probably only make up a part of the game. The very beginning will probably be a combination of Italy and modern day, and the end will almost definatly take place outside of the animus, inside a mayan temple.

Hm. What about an Indian (dot not feather) mercenary taking out all the stuffy aristocratic British guys?

If not Desmond's time, I'd go with the Carribean circa the Slave 'war'.

Of course, assuming the people writing this aren't total idiots, it would take place in Fuedal Japan. He's not just an assassin-- he's also a ninja!

With pretty much all of history to choose from, the possibilities are great for the next entry in the series. I've heard some speculation surrounding the middle ages with king Arthur and World War II, but I'd love to see the game set in mid-Industrial Revolution England.

Any other suggestions?
Feudal Japan, or possibly present day (as it's set in the future) somewhere in like africa, or iraq? I honestly don't know.

some how a modern day sort of thing. i think it would be cool, but very hard to get the balance between guns and melee, not many games have done that right, a game that did do it right was fable 2 for example. if they can pull off something like that i would be impressed

The industrial Revolution would be interesting.

I'd probably go with:

The War of 1812

or any other war from that time period.
Which war of 1812? The one with France or America?
The one where we burned the White House. Incidently, that would have to be a mission.
That would be pretty cool, actually. (Sorry D.C.!)
That would mean the Assassin's are also Canadian

We burned it down gooooood

OT: Japan or the Romance of the 7 Kingdoms (China) would be epically awesome

(although the 7 Kingdoms would be stepping back in time i think ...oh well)

Russia, just after they retreated from the front line and the revolution begins. That would create many good opportunities, due to the power imbalance and many people vying for control.

I'm not sure what decade this would be, but it's the age of the fedora-wearing private eye kind of character, see "Tracer Bullet."

P.S. seriously if someone could tell me the proper name for that era/type of character that'd be awesome.
That would be the 1920s to 1930s of hardboiled detective fiction, or the 1930s to 1950s of film noir. Take your pick, they're both sporting plenty of fedoras and detectives.

I'd go with London at the beggining of the industrial age. Guy Fawkes could teach explosives at the guild.

***SPOILER***

Pretty obvious actually. It's going to take place after Altair and before ezio most likely
Altair's son. There's a scene in the game where Desmond slips into Altair then Altair "slips into" a random chick and Desmond's mind is left with the child instead of following Altair. And, of course, the end game which promises you'll take down Abstergo and Vidic will get what he deserves.

So this leads us to a modern day setting with us taking down Abstergo one-by-one. Mixed with Desmond slipping into Altair Junior's memories in his free time. With everything coming to a head with you having to assassinate Vidic as he himself is about to launch the satellite.

Knowing Ubisoft there'll prolly be a plot twist at the end where Desmond loses control and slips back, but Vidic doesn't kill him as this slippage causes him to "know something" that Vidic desperately craves and that, in turn, is how Desmond manages to kill Vidic, but this last paragraph is just speculation. For more read on.

Another cool plot would be, Desmond killing his new friends because he's hallucinating them to be enemies in the past. At which point he coudl no longer use the Animus, UNLESS (DUN DUN DUUUUUUU) he went to Vidic for help. Shit, I gotta write this stuff down.

Disney land...

A Assasin running rampant in Disneyland...or cross it to Kingdom hearts.

I could go for a game I sneak up and kill Timon and Pumba

I would love to be climbing the buildings during the Roman times. They would be some amazing sights. It would also keep with the familiarity of the game but there would be plenty new things you could add on. It would be cool if you also play as part in a famous assassination using historical figures eg: Caesar.
You don't understand that the Assassin's VS Templar war didn't start until the First game during the Crusades.

british age of empire, i'm thinking 22nd january 1879, watching your target fight his way thorugh a 12,000 man zulu army only to trip and fall onto your wrist blade thing. it may not be particularly easy for him to operate then, but it would be a great specticle...

My dream AC game is set in Rome just after the death of Caesar, as you go around hunting down conspirators for Marc Antony. It would have a mission where you kill Cicero and nail his hands to the senate door, and would end with you in Egypt knocking off Antony and Cleopatra and making it look like they committed suicide.

English civil war, siding with either the Parliamentarians or the Royalists.
