Everywhere you go on the net involving games and their reviews, I've seen many great games that get the worst reviews due to one small part about the game. So I've decided to write down my thoughts on the subject.

Instead of writing a review about a game you may find terrible, why not speak and say what you think your perfect game should have.

Fan of perfection aren't you, leon?

The perfect game is a Mad-Max MMOG. Developers just haven't realised this yet. And when they do, I want everyone to know that I fucking called it.

EDIT: Just realised that's a ZP quote.

First person shooter with RPG levelling system.

Kind of like Huxley, wait, yes. Huxley. If it ever comes out.

Star Ocean 3? I got that and enjoy it, it really makes you think of the endless possibilities of what our universe truly is. For all we know, we might just be computer programs in a MMORPG that developed free and independent thought

I just want to know what people would put into a game and not complain about it. For example, With Sonic, people wanted variation after the first few games, variations were given on all sorts of levels but then people complained, wanting it to go back. If people would just say what they want in a game, game developers could make it, and people would be happy.
About the only acception would probably by Yahtzee, I find him pretty humorous when he has something to complain about. Otherwise, people complain without giving reason.

It would be an openworld game with a fully polished world (Like Half Life 2 or Bioshock) with strong NCP's/story and gameplay that can vary greatly

Like you could go on to a cliff to experience Beauty or to the forest to hunt...basically you would be only limited by imagination in terms of things to do.

The perfect game would somehow combine rpg fps (okay about every genre) have any elements a good game can have and put it all together seamlessly with a great story and well everything since it would have to be ultimate frankly I dont think consoles or designers could handle it till then im stuck with hopes of good games. (whatever happened to the great games of the ps2/gamecube or the ps1/n64 era)

Morrowind is really quite close to what I would call a perfect game. Most importantly the open world and the skill system - getting better by using skills, instead of putting a "point" in something after acquiring a certain amount of generic experience.

Just got an idea - a perfect game would be like morrowind but you also have access to a kind of dimensional portal or time machine that takes you to GTA San Andreas whenever you want. But keep the First Person view.

An idea that´s been in my head for a long time is some kind of randomized quest system. The game would have a general pattern of quests that are activated at different points of the game, with interchanging quest-givers, locations and goals. So no playthrough can possibly be the same. I mean in Morrowind you can play many different classes, but if you want to be head of the fighters guild, you have to do the same stuff every time.

I wouldnt mind finding a MMO that rewards players who play heaps and also rewards players who dont have the time to play. Making it more skill based and not a gear/grind based game.

But id go Starcraft with widescreen and high resolution support :)

I don't really find Morrowind that great, the colors are to bland for me, the entire world looks the same without any change and it should be redone on a better system for graphics sake.

I want a game of a barren dystopia, mmorpg, where the empasis is on survival just as much as killing whatever moves. Allies would be harder to find and keep if there is only water for one. I think it would bring out the worst in gamers, and therefore the best a game can offer.
