really, I think an fps or a tps is good for the story aspect. Dead rising is prime example. however, the mall Idea is getting kinda overused like a cheap prostitute, so lets mix it up a bit shall we?
for mine, it would be and open world, with 3 parts of the city: rural, subrubia, and the urban clusterfuck we all know and fell like throwing a pick axe at random fuckwits. Id basically be a fpsrpg thing where you can use anything you can find, kill whatever moves, and choose to restart the human race. or make a base and take on an exterminator role. if I had to choose a platform for it, id either be on pc or 360. and also- screw trying to find out who or what caused the zombies. maybe what caused it later, but all this "lets go and find the guy that made the zombies and kill him" is totally impractical and something any sane person would stray from, unless they had a death wish, or was somehow involved. I just need a game where its you (and maybe a group of lesser, if not equaly insane people) vs a hungry mob of flesh eating mongrels stumbling (or shambling) closer to bite your head off.
