I got one too, a side affect of having Scottish heritage. I give you the crest (Dramatic pause) OF THE MACDONALD FAMILY!

I do not know if my family already has a crest, so I will just have to make one up.
And by that I mean I will just use my logo that is conveniently positioned to the left of this bit of text. That version might not seem very impressive, but the larger version that is my background makes it look far better.
Yeah, like many before me I already have a family crest... Don't think I'd be able to find a picture of it on the interwebz though. I like my family motto though: "actions, not words".
As for my own personal crest, I made my own years ago and it appears on a lot of things I make or are involved in. If I knew how to post images here I would do so.

It's actually quite simple, you just type img and enclose it with brakets (these little guys []) then once you have URL of the picture you want (you can't post things from your computer, it has to be online) you simply type /img and enclose it with our little frend from earlier, the bracket.
it should look something like this though without the period [.img]the url goes here[/img]
A quick Google Image search of "ralston family crest" turns this up pretty consistently:
My family's motto is also apparently "fide et marte," or "faith and initiative," which is just perfect for an atheist who's too lazy to capitalize his name when searching it.
I've no real problem with the crest itself, but I'd prefer the helm to be replaced with, say, a gently smirking guy. And perhaps a new motto, something along the lines of "Incitationis et audaciae et valde inhumanos moribus."
(With apologies to all Escapists who actually understand the barest rudiments of Latin, who will likely be apalled by what Google Translate has wrought upon this post.)
