A magnum of course because the zombies are so f**king slow you can die of starvation waiting for them to swagger over to you. Plus you can towtally pwn them with anything so you may as well do an acceptable impersonation of revolver ocelot.

In a zombie apocalypse my primary weapon of choice would be; Tom Sizemore.
He would just walk in front of me blasting the undead with so much sheer awesomeness that they simply explode into nothingness.
My secondary weapon would be the novel 'The Game Players Of Titan' by Philip K. Dick, because I'll want something to read when I get bored of watching Tom Sizemore massacring the hordes of infected.

a) Because its faster than a sledge hammer and more practical than a chainsaw, a bit safer too (see Dawn of the Dead)
b) if there were a zombie apocolypse, I would try to be sneaky (assuming these are old fassioned 2mph zombies) and you cant really do that with a gun ("you alerted the horde!"). also theres the problem of ammo.
EDIT: on second thought maybye I'll pack a shotgun for if I happen to get swarmed...or if my arms get tired from chopping off zombie heads.
