I think WW3 would occur. Gamers everywhere would realise that nothing is sacred or worth living for anymore and so would rise up against Jack Thompson and then the world.

We could finally put all of our training to good use! (You know because video games are totally murder simulators).
Eh, I'd be sad then I'd get over it.
Kind of like when I found out there would be no Viewtiful Joe 3 and I'll never know how the story ends

I have complete faith in Valve. They've never made a game I haven't thought brilliant.

Honestly, I highly doubt it will be bad. It may not live up to the hype or greatness of the prequels, but it proably won't turn out bad.

I should also point out that some people have been waiting around 20 years for Duke Nukem forever and they turned out fine. People aren't gonna riot because a video game didn't turn out the way they wanted.

I don't think they'll make the game bad. Ep. 2 was good and they introduced another character randomly (this normally wouldn't be a big deal, but Half Life 2's story is one of the biggest things it has going for it).

But seriously- Valve's had a lot of time to work on the latest installment of the Half-Life saga, and due to their trademark attention to detail, I get the feeling that this won't happen. If there's anyone who understands the importance of taking as much time as one needs, it's Valve, and I trust them to make Half-Life 2 Episode 3 not only sufficient, but better than those before it.

I won't think about what could happen if hl2:ep3 was bad because, well, it's made by valve god damn it¡¡¡ and everything they do is at least medium high quality. so yeah, there's my fanboy comment

my not so fanboy comment would be, meh, it'd get pissed and move on to play some other game, like counter-strike or asscreed 2 or maybe horde mode or any "horde mode" copy of another game
