history would be vastly different and we could be either well ahead of where we are or way behind

it's pretty hard to say

ummm English isn't a latin based language, it has more roots in the Germanic languages but does have some latin in it. as for numbers they are arabic not roman. the roman system was I II III IV V VI and so forth, also they had no 0

Well, then Constantine would never happen and Christianity would never spread giving no base to Islam or Christianity and considering people's views on them back then, the Jews would be wiped out as we know it and the only religion would become Extraterrestrial worship.

English and the current number system used by all as well as various forms of mathematics would cease to exist. Architecture would be set back as someone already said. The gun would become dominant but anarchy would set in because there was kind of a lack of any Roman Empire and eventually everyone kill each other.
In addition, China's rise to prominence would be unopposed, though they would lose an initial major trading partner (and several Muslim and Christian trading partners later that arose from the Roman Empire). Japan would either face unification much, much later without the presence of Nobunaga Oda's riflemen...or possibly sooner, if the gun plans spread that far east.

The Colonial period would either not exist, or exist in a much different form, and thus the Aztec and Incan empires (short of some butterfly effect) would fall much more slowly or persist to the present day in some form. Sub-Saharan African kingdoms might continue rising and falling as major powers. Australia would be inhabited only by Aborigines...

Lots of stuff would change.

Exactly, Islam invented the current number system, but without the Roman Empire, Islam never would have been founded. And English has enough Latin roots that it would not exist.
no Islam did not invent the numbers, the Arabs did, there is a difference between the two. they also invented several forms of math, the romans weren't really great with inventing math stuffs

We would still have the celtic histories and I would be happy. There would be other side effects, but I'd risk em.
