Your changes dosen't make it scary in the slightest, I'd much rather have them the way they are now, only spawning one makes them rare, but still not scary, and having them follow me, well I coulnd't care less, if they avoid water and light, I can just stay away from darkness and throw down some torches and I'd be safe.
Generally all oyur changes make them seem more like a creepy old man, following me around, but they'll almost never attack me, so I won't be scared in the slightest. Just keep them like they are now.

I would just consider that startling. In my opinion for something to be "scary" it has to have some atmosphere, and build up some tension. Now lets say it was a dark night you were out of torches, low on food and health and running for your life to get back to your home before all the monsters start spawning, and playing on "Hardcore" (Its a new mode in the 1.9 pre release 2, your world gets deleted when you die)JesterRaiin said:Well, i almost shat myself when ambushed by a pig one night.
