Hurray for dice!
However, I must ask, is they're any word on splitting this section from the Forum Games? The two really don't have a lot to do with each other. People who post one line, random responses to the person above them aren't of the same mentality as people who post four page, carefully crafted responses to the person above them. For one the main incentive is immediate satisfaction independant from literary prowess with rapidly advancing content. For the other the main incentive is belated satisfaction dependant on the literary prowess of the thread as a whole with slowly evolving content.
There is really no rationale for lumping the two together. Other than to say, neither is welcome in off-topic.

I agree with this. They can also take up space on eachother and oush eachother off page 1 so they get ignored. Basically, there's nothing to benefit from that to both the forum games and the RPs.Khedive Rex said:

The promise of new and exciting develpments means the first thing I do on the escapist is visit the RP forum and see if I can now roll dice. I don't have any games that require me to roll dice, but I would make one just so I can roll some god damn dice. It will be fun to see a new era of RP crop up, experimenting with the dice and discovering ways to use them... i'll be happy if we get some more regular players. I think the escapist underestimates the amount of people and reputation they can draw by really kicking the pants off of everyone with an extensive RP system. It's a (mostly) untapped opportunity, to make a board that can support and enhance an RP, rather than just host it. I reckon' you could pull a lot of people here with it, wink wink nudge nudge.Higurashi said:
