lets see... there are actually a lot of things that would kick me out of mainstream games for good. securomesque copy protection (i already have a flat out "no EA game will enter this house, if you have one on your laptop, leave it in the car, or i leave it at the door. and theres NO way im walking all the way over there just for that." policy at my house) on even blizzard and valve titles.

a mutinous army of soul devouring bagels with an insatiable bloodlust and the ability to set things on fire with their minds.

game developers start making total shit, without the few occasional rays of... whatever the opposite of shit here would be, i was going to say light, but then i imagined light shining through shit and it would really be kind of an all or nothing thing. that and light isnt really the antithesis of shit. is it? yeah, terrible whatsitcalled on my part.

What would make me stop playing gaming? Well, at this time I can't imagine stopping playing altogether but you never know what could happen. An eventual loss of interest perhaps or a change in priorities in life.

As much as I enjoy gaming, I'd take the love of (one particular) beautiful woman over a game any day...

I would stop if I had the hottest girlfriend in the universe and she didn't like gaming. Sex with her could prevent me from gaming.
That would almost be sweet were it not so naive. Assuming your libido doesn't give out first (a herculean feat) when she gets old and naggy you're right back the wagon again.

What would stop me from playing games? Well, I can name three things that are stopping me playing games right now:

1) I've lost confidence that any game I haven't already played and bored of and is currently released is good enough to be worth a try right now.

2) Forum procrastination. It's stopping me from gaming right now. I'm perpetually amazed as the reflex that keeps me opening that browser.

3) Since I started dabbling with making games on my own, there's a certain threshold in quality in which making my own crappy game exceeds in entertainment value by default.

A dinosaur attack?
Having my hands replaced with tubs of butter?

On a serious note - the price OR if the sequal numbers ever go past 10. (FF not included)

What would really stop me from playing video games. My list so far would be:

1) If Electronic Arts or Microsoft buy Valve, I will stay with the games I got and stick to Microsoft or EA. Hell, I would even PayPal Valve $50 for them to gift-send me their latest game.

2) Any regular edition of a game that is over $60 on any platform. I am willing to either wait or use a gift card I get from one of my aunts.

3) DRM copyright software which my anti-virus software identifies as a high-risk threat to my system. Which game? FAR CRY 2!
