Why the fuck do people not read OP's first post? NO NUKES, NO MYTHICAL SHIT, NO VEHICLES, YOU'RE ALL DUMB. Anyway.

1.) DragonSkin Body Armor (thick steel plates placed in a scaled pattern so they disperse the force onto each other, spreading it over a wider area. You can survive a frag explosion at close proximity with it on if you're lucky, AND IT EXISTS.)

2.) Mounted 50-Calibre shielded turret with 10 belts of extra ammunition.

3.) Glock-18 Automatic Pistol with 5 extra magazines.

exactly. also, QUICK ANNOUNCEMENT: if you put in stuff that breaks the rules, you are not only an idiot who will be ignored and frowned upon, but also you get nothing in that slot.

Fragarach - A sword of Celtic mythology, it is said to place the winds at the wielder's command and is able to cut through any armor or defense. One cannot speak false with it at their throat.

The Tarnhelm - A mystical helm from Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen, the Tarnhelm allows the wearer to change their form, become invisible and travel great distances in an instant.

The Pelt of the Lion of Nemea - The first of the twelve "impossible" tasks of Heracles (Hercules) was to slay the Nemean Lion, the pelt of which was impenetrable by any weapon. Heracles only slew it by stunning it with a club and choking it to death. Since no weapon could penetrate it's pelt, he used the lions own claws to skin it.

S.W.A.T clothing

An AA-12

And a massive backpack full of ammo, including all types (incendiary, explosive, standard shot etc..).

Can I add an extra item? I'd like some ear defenders!

Ahaha, funny seeing the OP take this so seriously. Really, now.

I myself wouldn't survive for five minutes so I'd bring just one thing: one M1911 with a single bullet to kill myself with.

RagnorakTres, you are sent into battle with nothing. Still, nice knowledge of mythology.
First note: please capitalize my name. It's just a thing with me.

Secondly: I apologize, I should read a bit more carefully. In my defense, I was distracted by a topless NewClassic at the time I read it, which may explain my reading "excluding" as "including." A revised list follows:

Suppressed M107 .50 Caliber Anti-Materiel Rifle - I'm sure you all recognize this weapon, the most effective mass-produced military-grade sniper rifle ever made. A good sniper needs but one shot to down his enemy. No more, no less. Of course, sniping is dangerous work, you're alone in hostile territory with a weapon designed to be used at distance. But the enemy can't hit what they can't find....

Active Camouflage Mobile Hide: As a hide, there can be nothing better than almost complete invisibility. The technology exists, it would simply be a matter of implementing it correctly into a pre-existing suit of body armor or hunting blind. If you're interested in the science behind it, Wikipedia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_camouflage] is a surprisingly decent source, but do be sure to follow the "sources cited" links.

Army Survival Kit - I don't know what else to call it, but this kit (of my own design, developed to allow single survival in hostile territory) contains three days dry rations, a combat/survival knife, a "heat" lighter, smoke dispersant netting, gauze, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-pain medications, a reusable splint and roped pinions (mountain climbing gear, roped together so as to be retrievable from both ends). All metal items are muffled for noise reduction and carried strung from the body in convenient positions so as to be easily accessed in situations where they might be needed.

I'm assuming a temperate climate, otherwise the third item would be an Arctic Army Survival Kit, also of my own design, much the same but with ice picks instead of pinions and insulated clothing. Using these items, I can remain undetected for most of the fight and pick off survivors if it becomes necessary. As well, even should someone find my blind and successfully access it, I have a knife and will be able to tell if someone finds me (I'm a very light sleeper). Assuming a temperate climate and lacking information otherwise, potable water and edible plant and animal life should be plentiful, so the rations are more of a "better to be overprepared than underprepared" thing.

A fifteen foot thick diamond box large enough to hold 10 people plus a 5x5 box inside, also it has a latch that can only be opened from the inside, and of course I can see through it
Several tanks of oxygen
A mask that lets me use said oxygen
Done and done.
diamond, although hard, is incredibly brittle. it would not be hard to shatter that thing.

for me, i have my own strategy. I am assuming that as this event will be televised, the arena will encompass a variety of environments. I would make my way to the nearest rocky area, find a cave/ grotto/ hole, and live in it. from there, i would pick people off with a durable sniper rifle. the other thing i would bring would be a harpoon/grappling system. after someone is dead, you snag their corpse with the harpoon, and winch it back to your cave, so that you don't have to leave. than you get all of their equipment. i would probably also have a pulley system move the corpses and any other waste away from my hole.

basically, if i survive long enough to set up camp, i think i would have a good shot at survival. i stockpile weapons and ammo, as well as any rations the other combatants had on them. If there's wildlife around, harpoons will serve for hunting purposes.
