Remove the damned Morality system.

Yeah, I know it's a staple of the series. It's also the only part of the game which is genuinely terrible. It punishes you for roleplaying, and it sucks out all immersion.

Don't try to fix it. Don't try to improve it. Just leave. It. OUT... pleeeaaase!
Or, at least revert to the ME1 system, where taking the middle route didn't bar you from all of the late-game options...

Being a guy who didn't play Mass Effect 1, my opinion may be radically different, but can we improve the vehicle sections? That Firewalker thing was a *****. It had pitiful health and it resulted in me playing peek-a-boo with the enemies.

The only other thing I can think of is making the Dialogue sound less like Commander Shepherd pulled out a clipboard and started going through things on a list. Making them flow better would greatly make things better.

Calumon: Making it so I can play it. Jack keeps saying it's good but I'm not old enough! : (

I want more powers. Yes the ammo abilities were useful, but they were boring. I also want a greater variety of weapons. There were only really 2-3 different weapons for most of the weapon typea. I want more variety in my guns, dang it!

A return to the shit-ton of sidequests of Mass Effect Uno, a less streamlined system for leveling(I'm not saying the original ME's version, but a little more depth is all I'm asking for), more focus on story rather than character's(like the first one), female aliens and child everythings(too many character models is a lazyman's excuse), give me back my Mako(I don't even care if it's improved I loved that thing), drop the mining(or at least improve it), weapons can stay the same for all I care(thermal clips and all), however I preferred the original's armor system. I went from a pure biotic in light armor to this big clunky thing. A small head/neck does not work well with that shit.

Hmmm...quite a bit, and a lot of it seems to be going back to the original, however for clarification, I preferred the original's story elements, sidequests, etc. however I definitely preferred the second's gameplay.

A hybrid thermal clip/overheat system.

I propose this: Include a heat gauge that's functionally similar to the gauge from the original Mass Effect. However, in addition to simply overheating and inducing a forced cooldown time when heat reaches its maximum, have penalties apply to the weapon (such as lowered accuracy & damage) as the weapon grows closer to overheating. You can simply wait for the weapon to cool and the penalties to go away or, if you have thermal clips, you can eject them to cool the weapon instantly. The number of clips spent each time you eject them depends on the weapon and how much heat is dissipated by ejecting the clips.

Also, maybe include a way to "override the weapon's safety features". This will allow you to keep firing even as the weapon overheats, at the expense of causing permanent damage to the weapon in the form of damage/RoF/accuracy penalties. The weapon can only be repaired, and the penalties removed, by spending credits or resources after the mission is over.

Kinect support:(BEFORE YOU CASTRATE ME PLEASE HEAR ME OUT)
Not ingame shoehorning of the action or controls. Just one feature with Kinect support, the ability to help me construct my face. Don't act like you never did it, "I'll just move the nose up one more....no wait that doesn't look right...back down to slider counts. How long has it taken me to get this right, ah who cares I'm finally done!" Then you hit the back button to come out of the slider menu for your virtual make over and you accidentally go too far and reset the whole thing. Just, Look Down, Look Up, Look Left, Look Right and have it attempt to do its best to copy my face. That would be great.

Stat-Transfer Playable Characters for multiplayer: Essentially allowing co-op Shepard fun without worrying about why there are 2 Shepards. Allow us to take control of Stat-copies for taliored MP Co-Op or, if you are so inclined, PvP matches. Now personally I dont think games need to cater for MP, Mass Effect proved that with a strong SP you don't need to compensate for anything even in a shooter (/ rpg), but with the fight retuning to Earth this could be a good chance to put in some Co-Op "Earth Forces" MP, defending landmark buildings or retaking areas or infiltrating to recover data / people/ whatever.

Drone Control: Leaves you open to attack but you can assume direct control of your drones.

Paragon/Renegade.

I think I've discussed that with somebody in the Halo fans group, but my opinion still stands that this morality system shit has to go.
I agree. It instantly sets something up as a good or bad choice, like the decision to rewrite or destroy the heretic Geth. Some choices are subjective.
Personally i really like the: Paragon/Renegade system, because you know, what you are doing, and tells you, if your the biggest badass in the galaxy.

Seriously, that's a good idea. Just motion controls for the interface for that would be a god-send. Maybe something like Mario 64 when you mutate and shape the face by tugging on it.

I really want the Mako back, but I want it to handle better and I want to drive around planets that actually have life on them to make it more interesting. Some hostile life.

(pssst, look above my avatar)
It's been said above but the planet scanning thing was shit. Also give us a middle ground between the first game's story and the second game's character development.

I'd bring back the overheat system, but leave the option to put in a new thermal clip to counteract the heat.
I'd add in melee weapons.
I'd bring back the Mako.
I'd bring back manual cover taking as opposed to having to use the cover system.
I'd bring back actual equipment.
I'd bring back the leveling system from 1 where you didn't have to put more points in with each rank.

Also they need to design the game around all the difficulties. Not just, ok its possible to do it on easy, so I'm suuuuuure it will be fine on insane.

I get to that ruddy scene where you get set up on a trap on the collector ship on those flying platforms, my god that took me forever to do, that was like a week of playing a couple hours a night and it almost drove me to a mental break down.

Pretty much this, I hated how the manual said that you could eject the heat sink when it overheated, but fails to mention it will NEVER cool down.

*Ahem*
First of all I would like them to combine aspects of ME1 and ME2 such as adding more weapons that arent just undoubtedly better than the previous one. Also I actually had an idea where they would make it so Soldiers would start with Heavy armor, Vanguards and Infiltrators with Medium and Adepts and Engineers Light. Then throughtout the game you could find and buy upgrades to that armor like in Mass Effect 2. I also would like to have it so that not every planet would be scannable and some planets would have anomalies that you'd have to find the way you did in ME2. When you find them yu would fly down in the Hammerhead, or something, and fight pirates look for a resource cache etc. Finally I would like to see females of every race especially Turians for their is no reason that there are no Female Turians. I'm undecided if you should see Quarians without their suits on though.
So those are just a few ideas for imporvement

A god-damned Persuasion skill.

Seriously, the only thing an aliment-based persuasion mechanic does is punish me for playing a neutral character. It's particularly onerous in a game universe like Mass effect where pretty much every NPC is neutral and most situations have seemingly morally ambiguous solutions.

At least they would be morally ambiguous if they didn't categorize everything Paragon or Renegade.

Now, I like that earning points in one doesn't negate points in the other; I felt that was a wonderful idea and really helps to carry the character. Nevertheless, I feel like the game would be infinitely improved if they just did away with it and took the Dragon Age approach, i.e. game never judges your choices, just lets you pick and live with the in game consequences.

The problem with point-based morality is it drops the role-playing to -10 because you start picking choices based simply on the points they'd give you rather than role-playing. My favorite character in Dragon Age was a manipulating mage who would have been rated Angelic if the game had a morality system, even though she did everything simply for the influence it gave her over others.

Or at the very least give us persuade options that only pop up if our alignment is within a variance of center. Anything that will let me play my character MY way.

Pretty much make it like ME1 (inventory system, no thermal clips, more complex abilities) but with cover but with much less emphasis on combat and more on the Roleplay aspect. It really grated on me when the Bioware rep said ME2 would have no more convoluted places like Novaria from ME1.

And no more fucking mining, i must have been one of the few who didnt mind the Mako parts at all, having them replaced by that hideous mining system nearly made me return the game and almost totally killed any replayability.

Oh and guys, take some classes from the Alpha Protocol school of Actions=consequences is more complicated that good/neutral/evil.

Id like to see no thermal clips, those are annoying, also the whole fuel thing when ur flying around kinda sucked. Basicly less resource management more story and action. oh and the mako was fun, i think the hover thing in 2 handled better, maybe little of both. I also like the idea of showing more population, making the universe seem more alive

Everything else has been said, but I'd like a way to keep making money aside from just doing scripted missions. Randomized job boards or something maybe.

Seriously, the fact that I had to manage my cash EXTREMELY carefully in order to fully upgrade my character drove me insane. I understand that without all the extra weapons and stuff there wasn't a need for ways to get ridiculous amounts of cash, but it would be nice not to have to wonder if buying a goldfish for aesthetic purposes would prevent me from upgrading my sniper ammo to its maximum.

No more ammo, back to the heat control.
Back to the weapon and armor mods not the dumb upgrades.
Customizable armor for squadmates.
Original leveling system.
