what time period would go to and what would you do?(forwards too)

Personally i think i would shoot forwards in time 150 years to see what this world is like or if its even still around.

I mean, not saying anything about your taste in music, you'd take this amazing ability to travel anywhere in time to go see some bands from less then 30 years ago play? Really? Not go watch some epic battle? Not see your ancestors as children? Not see the most famous and world changing moments in history?
But yes to...watching a few bands play.

But if I had the ability to travel through time without having my brain asplode, I would probably go back and give myself life advice. Unless we're saying reality is a type-one timeline, in which case I'd probably go back in time to watch all the great battles of the past.
