I'm gonna be sad and emphasise my loneliness and wish that my love would be requited.
Call me what you will.

I think that goes against the rules.
OT: I wish for necromancy. That's like magical powers AND immortality! Untill some crazy paladin comes along, at least.

Or does necromancy go against the rule too, seeing as you ressurect the dead?

I'd wish for the ability to edit my body in every way possible, all the way down to my genetics and cells, whenever I wanted (but, not while asleep or unconscious. I don't wanna know what my mind would do when I'm asleep).
For starters, I'd fix whatever is wrong with my leg that makes it hurt, change the way my hair grows, change my eye color, increase my height a little, and get rid of my genetic predispositions to certain diseases. For starters, mind you.

Is giving a loved one the wish as my wish considered as something directly affects me?

If not, I wish I had huge feathery Angel wings, cause those things are awesome.

To win the fucking lottery (pretty simple right?), without risk of being kidnapped or having a loved one kidnapped for ransom.

"You have been expelled from the Mages Guild"

And, I never said anything about ressurecting

I'd probably go with that too. I just wanted to say "voluntary shapeshifting", but what you described also adds "unable to die of old age" benefit. But yes: if confined to a "selfish" wish, i'd probably go with some sort of shapeshifting. From turning into a dragon or a Lombax (or a Dragon-Lombax... yeah), to impersonating Elvis Presley, to replacing some president and trying to improve the world, the possibilities are endless.

I wish for ultimate talent. To excel at anything I could ever try.

It would be a vehicle to attain anything else I could ever want. Money, Power, Bitches, whatever.

It'd be so awesome to be good at everything.

Huh? I don't get it ':-| Please elaborate.
To actually dedicate some time to the rest of the idiots that populate the earth and politics, even though to be able to do ANYTHING you ever wanted, either you are very stupid, or very kind.

It has to be selfish, meaning, the wish has to affect you directly. (
Ressurecting affects the dead directly.

Yeah, But you choose to be a Necromancer, a power that allows you to resurrect dead things.

You wished something for yourself, and you can still revive your dead minions :D

Oh, And I'll be taking that Mages Guild Key. Thank you very much.

I wish I had a real talent, I'd love to be an accomplished writer or an amazing musician or a great artist or film maker. Fame and fortune and I'd be earning it myself so it would be more rewarding than just wishing for a billion pounds. Plus how would you explain that much money suddenly appearing without being accussed of theft or being called crazy and saying you wished for it? I'd love to be a musician but could I be multitalented or would I just have to choose one area? For instance could I sing and play synth? If I had to choose I'd pick vocalist.

@fullbleed: You could wish to be Talented in everything you wrote on a list, Making that list magical, and it'd still be selfish, since you are the only one who can use the list. How about that?
