Most recently I was playin' TES: III so first thing I'd do is get me some armor. Then a few dozen spells. Then I'd access my in game console and type tgm and then tfow. Then I would go for the whole player -> additem gold_100 10000 a couple times over. After that I'd screw with my stats and go on a rampage ending the world and becoming a God. After I assumed my rightful place as rule of the world I'd expand into other territories, steadily taking over every realm in sight.

Since I was playing CoD 4 last, I'd be an SAS soldier named soap. Provided I knew what I was doing, I might do okay. Maybe.

To true, but something has always bugged me (Thread Derailment in 5..4..) Woulden't you want to side with the amazingly powerful superhuman that destroys tanks in a matter of seconds, rather than waste prescious resources trying to hunt him down? Us Americans can be quite silly..

MAJOR spoiler, it will explain your question...in detail...but it has some REALLY DAMN BIG spoilers in my opinion.

Alex Mercer is not.."Alex Mercer". Alex managed to steal a new strain of the Blacklight Virus(turns people into zombies...aka the virus that ravages NY in the game) from the place he worked(GENTEK). He was shot and killed at Pen station NYC, but dropped the thingy where the strain was contained on himself right before dieing. That "thing" bonded with Alex(Kinda like venom did with Spiderman) and became "Alex". Basically Alex is dead, and what's left of him is that Virus strain. That "thing" that has taken over

So he wakes up in a morgue, and hears the scientists talk about him using the name "Alex Mercer" and assumes he is Alex Mercer, yet he has no recollection of what happened to him. He escapes the facility killing a few people on the way. Over the course of the story he pretty much assumes he is Alex Mercer 'til the Big Plot twist(aka the virus finds out he's not Alex Mercer, he's just a strain of the virus). Now until that Alex....the virus? tries to remember what happened. Alex' sisters(he finds her early in the game and she Assumes Alex is..well "Alex") tells "Alex"(Aka the strain) about a woman held up at GENTEK(Alex' former workplace) who was infected too but somehow manages to control the Virus. He sets her free, but she pretty much lost her sanity because of the Blacklight virus, but the Virus itself gave her powers similar to Alex' only they were WAY more powerful. She also created Hunters by the looks of it. They were hold out in the Building(GENTEK). When Alex released the women he also released the Hunters.

Now would you seriously trust someone who killed probably thousands of military personal and set free one of the most dangerous beings on this earth AND not only that but released the "Hunters", which are mutated has crap humans, too?

Also, last game I played was Rome: Total War. I guess it would be cool to be a soldier in the armies of Rome?

Prototype was last for me. Powers would be great but after so much consuming the voices would give you a headache. Before that was Infamous, Wouldnt mind the lightning powers and anytime i took some damange just insert a battery and back to normal, think i would struggle to choose a karma though if i had to be there indefinately.

Would I grab the first pair of Melons I saw? Apparently Class goes out the window when there are no consequences, Hell rape a ***** if your gonna get away with it right?

But if I knew about this earlier, I would have sped to GameStop and re-bought a PS2 and Final Fantasy X. Then I could finally pursue my creepy love for Rikku.

Wow. I never thought of it like that. That would be rediculously creepy. While it would be awesome at first, I might get bored after awhile.

It's "what if you were in the game/show world," Not "what if you were this person." As such, wouldn't that mean you'd be one of the civilians, not Alex? You'd be screwed!
