Nah bro, the Kukri is fail unless you have Jarate handy and I don't you could go for a Backstab without cloak OR a disguise.
You should get yourself a Bonesaw, its really an underrated weapon.

Chances are, assuming it happened when I was 11, of course, I wouldnt have noticed. I always had headphones on with my Gameboy. I never heard anything between the ages of nine to fourteen.

I'd call the cops if I heard someone break in and then I'd grab the heaviest/strongest object available to me and hide on the landing to the left or right of the stairs against the wall so the guy couldn't see me and then if he walked up the stairs I'd wait until he got to the top and then I'd smack him in the head with whatever I'd picked up as a weapon.

I skipped school one day to play Starcraft and while i was sitting in my command center (a cheap desk in my dining room) some random person just strolls into my house and looks around. At the time i think i was like 13-14 and i had my lunch next to me, well i just so happened to have a knife right next to me, the only thing i thought to do was throw the knife at him. It hit him in his leg when he was running away it did cut him and cops got him because from DNA and i didnt get in trouble because in texas we can do things like that because of the trespassing laws.

That is awesome.

Ontopic: I live in an apartment so i doubt anybody would waste their time robbing exactly my apartment but if they did, i would grab the closest blunt object and proceed to whack him with it. That is, if he doesn't have a gun. If he did have one, i would call the police and hide.

If he had a gun, I would hide in my secret room and call the cops, but if he had like a knife I would attempt to jab him or use my bo staff and beat the crap out of him far away.

N.B. That reason of course being so that I'm not caught unaware when the zombie apocalypse comes, but I imagine it could prove useful in this situation as well.

I have shotgun about 4 feet away from me, its pump action so the noise of the pump would most likely scare him off. If it didn't I would shoot him, one shell of buckshot should do it.

It really depends on what kind of burglar intrudes. Most often, & luckily, they're cowards.

Unlucky me. The intruders weren't going to sneak in, steal, & leave, they snuck in & went straight for our bedrooms. We were violently woken up, 4 AK-47's pointed at us, tied up, tortured, & robbed.

So even with my razor-sharp knife under my pillow & my own AK behind my bed, I couldn't do anything. I was caught by surprise, I didn't know how many raiders there were, & I didn't want to jeopardize my parents' safety. Also, this was in Iraq, so I knew that they wouldn't hesitate to kill us.

Would I do the same as this badass kid or would I hide in the closet and call the cops?

So, I ask you, my fellow Escapists, what would you do if this happened? Would you try to fight off the intruder or would you try to get the fuck out of there? And if you did try to fight him off, what would you use?

Oh, and try to be realistic about it. And the intruder [b/]is[/b] armed.

Actually was in this scenario, was home alone and heard noises from the bottom floor, this was a few months after a break-in when we weren't home. I was about 17, locked me and my little sister in the main bedroom and called the cops.

Nothing in my home is worth risking our lives for. I've been involved in martial arts since I'm 13 to today at almost thirty, and if this happened again I would do the same thing. Nothing I own is worth risking my life for, and certainly not the life of my loved ones.

ya, no. i live in canada. so i don't have many guns lying around my house. stupied no gun laws. but my friend has like 20 swords in his room. ranging from a dragon dagger. (dagger with one curvey side, other side is jaged) to a katana, a broad sword, rapier, machite, hunting knives, wood sword, parry katana. (short katana used to block). and like 10 different daggers/knives. then he has his hunting rifle downstairs. his baseball bat is in his room to. and his gaint walking cane. (don't know why he has it now) he wanted to hollow the end out and put a blade in it. HE LIKES SWORDS AND KNIVES. he has 4 bb guns in his room. and a big black lab that doesn't like intruders.

Me i don't have lots of weapons lying around my house, just my bb gun, paintball gun. kitchen knives, hockey sticks, 250-275 pound military father. years of learning how to beat the living crap out of you if you make me mad. plus pressure points. how to disarm someone. and lots of holds. i can break your arm in 2 places in like 3 seconds. and i got a parsen russel terrier to tell me someones there.

I have rage problems. if i get mad i go strait into a blunt rage and i don't feel pain while i'm in it.
