Yeah, even together, it wouldn't be fair for them. That happened once while we were recording, more out of drunken fun, but I beat all three of em at once.

As much as it sucks, I'm not sure there's much you can do unless you're willing to speak to an attorney and legally pursue the problem.

Im suprised (no offence) that theyve kicked the vocalist out of the band, Especially if you were successful.

Well it was a long story, but basically, I was brought in after the band was formed, all they needed was a vocalist. So I beat out 16 other entrants and just kind of kept my mouth shut for a bit, I didn't want to be the traditional arrogant prick vocalist. So about a year passes, and I think to myself, "Ok, things are cool now" and start trying to interject ideas. Ignored, for a long while. So basically things came to a head, and I told the drummer, who was the actual ringleader, what I thought of him, alot, and it wasn't exactly nice.
Few days later got a phone call ...

Your not in a good position, If you have added your voice to any recordings (albums, etc) then you are entitled too a share of profits - Anything the band does now, As long as they arent using your voice then they can do what they like. If youve wrote any of the songs... i think you have rights over the song too.

The real kick in the junk overall, is ... several thousand I'm out. My former drummer has said some relatively harsh things about me, the spineless puke. The album was 5000, by the time press, package, mixing and mastering was all said and done. Paid my quarter. The first 2000 albums sold (@ ten dollars a peice), the first batch of 100 shirts sold (@ 15-25) and then the little stuff like posters and buttons and stickers and what not. And then, we averaged about 75 bucks a show ... given that in some we made 20 and others (Hallowe'en only really) 800, in door sales, but over the course of 4 years we averaged 1.5 shows per month, so 70-75 ish ... over the course of 4 years. Thats alot of bloody money. This isn't 200 bucks. This is up in the thousands.

The legal approach is becoming a bit more appealing
