I would like to have the curse for all human diseases named after me.Golden Gryphon said:Scientists often pay homage to people they admire, famous people or friends when naming new species. There are a lot of species named after David Attenborough including a prehistoric lizard, a parasitic wasp, an echidna, a fossilised fish and, most recently, a rat eating plant.
My question is this: If someone was to name a species after you what sort of plant, insect or animal would you like it to be? The only restriction is that it has to be an undiscovered species (no changing an existing name) and it has to be fairly realistic that it would exist.
I think it would be really cool to have a (possibly extinct) species of small rodent named after me. I would give an example but I'm not sure what the latin version of my last name would be. Possibly Bransatoglis moorae (the genus is a type of extinct dormouse).
