]Better spells, for one.

Also, assassination attempts or something to spice up life.

Also, a tent, so you can sleep anywhere!
1: Midas Magic fixes that (OB mod).
2: Tribunal fixes that (MW expansion).
3: What? You already can! In ALL the TES games!
I know, I just wish they had it actually in-game(without having to mod), where flare and the most powerful fire spell looked identical.

The ability to get wives and have half Khajiit and half Argonian children!!!

... well... wives at least

Oh! and even out maging and ranging with melee...

Lets face it, Magic and range completely sucked on Oblivion compared to melee. In ES5 it should be more even...

... and headshots do critical damage would be good too

I would like a "realistic" world, well just a little bit more life in citys that look like more than some surrounding for the armory , tavern and magicshop.
I know Elder Scrolls is actually one of the series who isnt doing that bad in this things, but it still feld pretty artificial , cold and dead in towns.
I loved that about Drakensang, the city really felt alive.

magic needs to be less over-powered
non-magic combat needs to be better and less clunky
everything needs to be less static, needs more movement
i'd like the conversation mini-game to make sense

How about a plot they didn't use to death?
I didn't play any elder scrolls games before morrow wind, but here's my gripe:

Morrow wind: Wake up in a slave boat (jail) and need to do endless questing to save the world
Oblivion: Wake up in Jail, and need to do endless questing to save the world
Fallout 3: Wake up in a vault (Jail) and need to do endless questing to... ? (I'm guessing you have to eventually save the world)
New Vegas: (Haven't played it yet, but here's a guess) Wake up in a [Jail] and need to do endless questing to save... New Vegas?

Yeah... something ELSE please!

sence of humor,
Yes!

That is the main reason I spent over a hundred hours in Fallout3 and never finished (or even really started) Oblivion.

And maybe forcing you to actually walk to places before letting you fast travel would make the game feel a bit more immersive, and actually give it some other sense of purpose besides killing hordes of imps.

More Dragons, Better, more dragon-like argonians and it'd be nice if the game would be set in the dark(black?) marches.

Not sure if this have been mentioned, but, how about a gameworld that makes sense!?

How about a capital with a harbor that isn't landlocked from all directions?

Airships.
Werewolves.
Guards that aren't norse gods come to earth seeking their vengence upon you and only you.
More than 5 voice actors.
Dragon riding infantry.

EDIT:
On the topic of psyic guards, how about a judge and jury. Rule of law is limited to only the guard? I dont think thats how a civilization stays a free one.
I am going to nit-pick here. If the soldiers are riding dragons, they are not infantry. If they are mounted at all, they are not infantry. They are cavalry.

On topic, I would like to see more voice actors. I would also like to see what they leanred about the human form in Fallout applied to the next Elder Scrolls game.

How about I'm not interested in Elder Scrolls at all.
Why post then?

OT: I just want less copy+paste environments, no omnipotent guards, and much better voice acting. Actually checking for bugs before release would be nice too.

How about NO FAST TRAVELING!
Or how about something like Fallout NV's hardcore mode that makes it so you can't?
Yea. I agree with this. I would like to fast travel most of the time, but I would also like a mode where it prohibits that.

As far as what I want in the game.. I want it to be released! haha

I think the word you are looking for is omniscient.

the most of the complains made here can be fixed by mods, generic land? Unique Landscapes!
Boring magic? Midas Magic Spells of Aurum! more weapons? one of the many weapon mods! etc etc.
not that this is a excuse for the developer,

Less loading screens.

New Vegas showed us that these games really need to let us fast travel to and from indoor locations.

How about no essential characters? like in Fallout New Vegas where everyone can die.
That is a horrible idea that will have serious drawbacks
If you think about it

I'd say more voice acting, better character mapping I mean sure you guys have to do a little extra work but it'll be worth it in the end Bethesda, take away the staring at least... o.o

Also take more than a day to work out the bugs
Mostly voice acting,or maybe more CONSISTENT voice acting,Refer the Yahtzee's review of Oblivion if you dont know what i mean

Don't use it.

I've got to say the NPC's never really bothered me, mainly because I spent most of my time in the wilderness and questing for the thieves guild.

I'd like to see several strongholds or large estates that can be relieved of possessions, but well built with lock pick, guards, door puzzles etc. leading you to a great treasure of sorts.

Perhaps deeper guild interactions with side quests of each (such as "random" assinations for the dark brotherhood.
Yeah, and when I need to get from Leyawiin to Anvil then I'm fucked :-(
They need to put some transports like boats or caravans and then I won't use fast travel.
OT: A more interesting place. Don't just make a standard medieval fantasy which landscape is only consisted of trees and grass
Also why not put Dual wield

What? That's insane! I would still be playing Fallout 3 if there was no fast traveling.

On topic, I would say they need more voice actors. This seems to be a common Bethesda problem, and I think they need to fix it before it goes from "annoying, yet charming" to just plain "annoying."
