Episode fucking 3.

... dammit.

A game that doesn't just play off the hype and seem to get old quick? It's bound to happen, given that most of the initial sales will be from Portal fans, and it won't seem as shiny or new, given that the innovation of Portal has already set in and passed. It wont be fu'n without even more innovation...

Co-op, more original humor/characters. Larger levels, another epic boss fight, a semi-different setting/plot. Something new, while sticking to what made the first so great.

I'd love a PS3 release, as my computer isn't too powerful, and I don't intend to get a 360 just for this game. And more replay value. With most puzzle games, since I already know the solutions, there isn't too much point. Admittedly, I have finished Portal around 10 times now, but longer replay would be great.

I'd like to see no Portal 2 in Portal 2.

I don't care how amazing it's going to be, it will not live up to the amazingness of Portal 1, and jusging by most sequals it will probably ruin Portal 1 in most peoples eyes.
we all know how sequals go! Find a meme from the origional and cram it into every single remake. Why else did jack sparrow comment about the existance of run in every movie?
Right form the start in Portal 2 you will trip over either Cake, or a comment about there being no cake and it will just get worse from there.
I'm jaded, I know, but I learned from Yathzee that not getting hyped up means you won't be as disappointed. and I have rarely seen a movie or game not go with the 'Let's cram as much nostelga as we can into the story' aspect. Ontop of that I have never seena movie or game Meme as powerful as 'The cake is a lie' was, so they won't let that slide.
I hope it doesn't suck. But i won't hold my breath.

Vehicles. Preferably an old Mini Cooper S. Which is chrome. With a bonnet mounted portal gun that shoots extra wide portals. It would be on caterpillar tracks for extra mobility, and when activating the portal gun, the camera goes in thrid person mode, so portals can be shot everywhere. Of course it would have a sheild device that flips the car back on the wheels if it were to land upside down. Could you imagine doing the momentum puzzle... but in a Mini? Ever seen a marble run, or that

part in Myst 3 when one of the worlds turns out to be a track for essentially a giant hamster ball?

Well I think puzzles using similar structures those would be fun. You'd just need awesome transport to get round them.

An actual GAME instead of an extended tutorial. I'm not insulting Portal, I loved the humor and the portal-based puzzles, but I felt like it was over before it had even started.

Aww, damn it all. I forgot Vavle hates consoles!

OP: PS3 release please, and Left for Dead 2 while you're at it Valve. :p

It was on the front cover of a PS3 magazine, so you can keep your hopes up. Even though my computer BSODs on HL2 now, I'll still buy it on PC, just so I can say I have it on PC. It will be only when I become so desperate to play it, I will play it on consoles. Valve games were made for the PC, and they will stay on the PC for me. I can't imagine playing HL2 with a game pad.

All I want is the great dark humour that made Portal so great to play. And I'm pretty sure Valve won't let us done on that one. Instead of lasers the game has "thermal discouragment beams" :)
