More individuality in all things.
Is it just me, or does everything seem to gradually more and more samey? Is it just me, or are people now seeming more afraid that something different and unfamiliar is a bad thing?

I was going to make an Asscap comment like BOOBS but figure it would be better if I actually said something at least semi inteligent. I would like to see more real news on the news instead of tabloid news. However the media is so biased anyway I don't see how it would help.

Proof of the existence of the supernatural and man's ability to manipulate it.

As far as realism goes, though, we need more societal acceptance of recreational drug use. People are going to keep burning up their bodies so long as it's still dangerous to talk about.

Boobies (you know it was coming sooner or later). In all seriousness, a relaxation of American standards on nudity and sexuality to European levels.
Damn, he beat me to it, I saw the thread title and got all excited, and then saw someone had posted already.
You and me both buddy.

More pasta can only be a good thing.
Marry an Italian. If their family likes you, you WILL be able to go over to any random relative's house whenever you feel like it and be treated to an absolute feast. Your nonna-in-law will feed you until you die.

I would like to see gaming studios take more risks. Valve with L4D, Mirrors Edge, etc. I'm tired of the "run-of-the-mill" sequels. I do enjoy them, but I enjoy new ideas much more!

EDIT: Oh, and cookies as well, but white choc macadamia nut for me thanks :)

More atheists, more politicians who think like Cincinnatus, and more people who don't abandon their ideals and turn into good little authority slaves "for the children" as soon as they start a family.

Maybe it's not "more" specifically, but I want less elitist BETTER-THAN-THOU veteran types on the Internet, less "lulz ur gay" grammar phobics, and more of the people in between. Those with good grammar and at least moderate intellect, but who don't cast down the entirety of creation because it doesn't contain enough epic.

i.e. people like me!

i'd like to see more social experiments, see more people that don't just settle for less, and in general a human race that seeks for knowledge more than searches for the next party to go to. i'm not saying don't go partying, i'm saying you can have both.

the quote of communism versus capitalism springs to mind: a communist enters a high middle class home and says, "no man should have this much". a capitalist enters the same house and says, "every man should have this much".

whether the ideologies are true is not a matter of concern for me, but rather, the analogy is perfect.

Building on what The Eaten Cake said I'd love to have less false information and propaganda everywhere. And more education for everyone on every subject that does not include propaganda (I'm looking at you America).

The King's quote seems a nice place to start. It seems rather cut off. The communist would have said "No one should have this much, when there are still poor people suffering" or something to that effect. And the quote of the capitalist also seems to have nothing to do with the ideology, or with him/her being a capitalist. Someone speaking for their ideology should have said "Everyone should be able to have this much, and no one should be allowed to take it from them."

Yeah, I know what you mean. That's the community we call The Internet in a nutshell.
