Your local mad scientist has invented a virtual reality room/suit/other science fiction bs machine, and he's invited you over to play. It can run any game from any console, and puts you in the game as the main character.

Any stats/powers/abilities of the main character will be granted to you.
You do feel pain, but only a very slight amount to give you feedback of like, where you got hit and stuff.

And you can bring friends.

What games do you bring over? What games do you not, under any circumstances, even dare try?

I would like:
-TF2
-Left 4 Dead
-Saints Row 2
-Pokemon Yellow

I would not like:
-Oblivion (Going into oblivion would be terrifying)
-Pac man (would probably get tiring)
-Angry Birds (I wouldnt want to be smashed into bricks and pigs all day)
-Any Silent Hill (I would pee my pants and die almost instantly)

I kind of hate motion sensor in its entirety but, if I could go back to the days when I reveled at the idea of virtual reality, I think I would bring Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 to VR. The stealth gameplay would be the best thing since sliced bread and each encounter would be amazingly tense.

However, I'm not quite sure how I'd manage trying to do Raiden's crazy flip--especially while naked.

I would bring in Minecraft, Pokémon SoulSilver and Black versions, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Persona 4. Maybe a Touhou game.

I would NOT bring in any FPS or horror game. At all. Ever.

Let me be first to say the "you're" at the start freakin confused me. Wrong context mate! Second, maybe a Tales of game? I think that'd be loads of fun. Since it's not really socially acceptable to put on massive pieces of armour and carry a sword while running across fields and into cities, at least we could have a VR game that does it well :3

It seems like assassins creed would be cool if you were good at the freerunning. One I wouldn't want to try would be mortal kombat. doesn't matter how faint the pain is it can't be pleasant to have your skin ripped off by Sheeva

Depends on the interface, I guess? I mean, if we're talkin holodeck here, practically anything goes... If we're talking some dinky suit and hat, forget it--I'd rather play on my PC.

And erm... what would be the point of pokemon? Unless you played AS a mon.... [small]or it was Moemon...[/small]

The sims VR would be the worst thing ever . People would no lOnger be able to tell the difference between reality and the sim Virtual reality. Games like GTA or Saints row ( any sandbox really ) would make terrible VR for thIs same reason. If that was to happen people could really blame videogames for crimes ( because people will mistakingly mix up real life from VR). Actually the more i think about it the mpre dangerous i think virtual reality would really be. Although a Final fantasy VR would be pretty cool.
