Final Fantasy... Six.
FF6 was already ported.....to the Game Boy Advance. :p

Personally, I would love to see remakes of Deus Ex and Loom (although, sadly, any remake of Deus Ex would probably be compromised by developers attempting to fit the game for consoles as well).

Also, even though they sometimes turn out to be rather poor, I would love to see more PC ports of well-known console titles. Shadow of the Colossus and Castlevania being two examples. Speaking of which, it would be great to see both of them on the 3DS as well.

Also, a PC Super Robot Taisen game. But that is already going from "unlikely" to "downright delusional" territory.

Not all games should get a makeover. Shadow of the Colossus shouldn't imo, half the charm about it was exploring the bleak world, which was created, in part, by the graphics and updating them may spoil some of the charm. I remember someone highlighting that Silent Hill was great because of its mysterious and cloudy world, but that they also it was a created due to technical issues and the lack of having a better draw distances. The same way films shouldn?t be updated with newer graphics.

Looking through my old games and thinking about this, and honestly there are none I would want to be remade.

Pokemon first and second Gen, y'know, before they suddenly got new again.
I want to play blue version, with the bad music and graphics, but with a nicer engine, more pokemon, etc.
Get HG/SS Sure it isn't a remake of blue or red, but it has Kanto in it. and it has pretty much every Pokemon in it.

I'd love to port Shadow of the Colossus and Katamari Damacy to PC, ideally available on Steam.

I've always wanted to play both of those, but I regrettably don't have a PS2, or have friends who own one.

Xenogears, Bushido Blade 1 and 2, and above all, The Neverhood. I know it's never going to happen, but I can dream.

I'm gonna say what I always say in these threads:

The X Wing Series.

Some of the best games I've ever played, but stuck with dated design and are limited to joystick control...

I'd say Final Fantasy VII...but since they're already making it, albeit in secret...

I'll say Metal Gear Solid series for 360. ^^

Timesplitter 2 & 3 (1st one sucked)
Phantasy star online (seriously, these 3 games are the only reason why I still use my Original Xbox)

OH!
And Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
and finally Mother 1, 2 & 3

if i could get a decent devolper to do it. Remake the "Back to the future games" for starters.
and by remake I mean a complete overhall of them while we are at it.
not the japanese one though, that one i'd love to see a port of and translated.

Would love ports of alot of the games on the japanese market, old and new.
Including the ps2 version of berserk, and the robot girl came that they gotfor the xboxandwe didn't.

would have said sam and max, but that's already been remade by the talented peopels at telltale.

I agree with jax on ED. Loved that game.

@testEcull.If you get the pc version and are able to find someone skilled in making mods it would be doable.

I'd port Contra

Not remake, port. Leave it all the same, but make it run on modern hardware. Without a frame rate cap.

Because Contra just isn't hard enough for me.

Metal Gear Ac!d for the PS3. i thoroughly enjoyed that game, and i hoped to have better graphics and not worry about my battery going out.

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction for the PS3. i had a great time playing that one, and i still am. it would be nicer if there was a refined polish on the graphics and AI. i want to see buildings crumble into nothing in 720p and be able to snipe for more than 80ft. ugh, that draw distance was a killer.
You do know there was a sequel right? Mercs 2 was half bad to be honest. The AI still wasn't that great though and the graphics weren't the best, but it was as fun as the predecessor.
mercs 2 was a flaming pile of ass. that's why i would like an upward port of mercs 1.

Im still hoping that someday (probably after the robot monkies take over) we get a HD remake of Spartan Total Warrior.
Don't do anything too it (but feel free to add a few more levels if you must) just make it shiney and I will mail you a black check. I have however found a very similar game called Hero of Sparta on the iPod, loved the first one and a second one was made this year.
I only found them last night so I'm playing through them.
Apparently they are HD on the iPad but since I don't have one I will probably need to actually hand over a black check to get it...

Over the Years, we have been getting all kinds of remakes and ports to XBLA and PSN, and even Wii. With ports of Perfect Dark and Banjo Kazooie released and Sonic Adventure on it's way. And remakes like Bionic Commando and Earthworm Jim HD (one of my personla favourites). If you could decide, what would you port/remake. Me, I would port/remake the Power Stone series, or maybe Shenmue.
powerstone 2 would be fucking awesomeeee.

OT : I would love a remake of captain america and the avengers from sega genesis..i still play it from time to time, its the MOST fun co op i ever had as a kid. the music and bosses were epic, they even had the villians do the classic "mwahahahaha" evil laugh
