Nothing really, I never quite understood martyrdom and trying to solve a problem by throwing away your life sounds like a terrible solution which should only be reserved for Hollywood movies and also the end of videogames where they just need a way to make you stop playing.

It may be pessimistic, but I'm afraid I agree.

I mean, if someone was in danger, I'd gladly help them and if a loved one was about to die, I'd do anything to save them.

But I'd like to be with them after I save them, so I wouldn't kill myself over it.
