Hey. Save the labels for food. Although, to me, nerds are those that study constantly to get straight A's. I think the generic term for a gamer is actually geek.

If they want to call me a nerd because I am better at computer games than them, it is their fault for being a sore loser.
If they want to call me a nerd because I like computers, it is their problem.
I better fit the description of an Otaku anyway...

I think some people on this site must live in a strange society, pretty much everyone I have met (well, the guys at least) play/played computer games, regardless of what their other interests were. Playstations and Xbox's are not uncommon and have not really been considered a "geeky" thing for quite a lot of years.
This. Virtually everyone I know has at least one console in their house, and some knowledge of characters and older games, not just the newer releases.

I'd do as any superior male in the species does: Beat the other to display dominance. Worked like a charm so far.
Damn you beat me to it. I'm proud to be a nerd/geek, but i'm also proud of my physical attributes (working in construction and being a keen cyclist will do that for ya). So yeah, i'd say something like "oh yeah? Say that again and i'll nerd rage on your face!".

"At least I'm not about to be kicked in the balls with a raptor from space that shoots lasers out of its eyes to hold of the Nazi armada." I don't know how I would pull it off, but it would be EPIC!.

How did I manage to post it twice? Several minutes after each other?

"How is sitting in front of the TV all day any less nerdy?" (if I knew they did so)
OR
"oh, you're assigning me to a stereotype?Did you know I believe in intelligence through osmosis? I shall sit over there with my friends in grade A"
I'm 70% sure I know that osmosis is a function of blood cells to with water/salt levels... So... What?
