Just made this thread because, as a great Pokémon fan since the very beginning, I've thought up a few ideas in the past.
So they're my ideas. Feel free to post.
1) More Gyms
I don't necessarily mean adding a new region with 8 new gyms. This idea is more tied to the anime. If you had a keen eye for detail, you'd notice that Gary "Motherf***ing" Oak had 10 Kanto badges, only 3 of which were from the any of the 8 gyms that Ash visited. This clearly indicates that there are more gyms out there and that(obviously) we are just following Ash's storyline, lazily gathering the minimum of 8 badges required to battle the region's Pokémon league.
This may be due to many things, be it staying loyal to Ash's storyline(for the anime fans), content cutbacks or simply lack of creativity on the developers' behalf, but I'd like to see more gyms of depressingly terrifying difficulty, giving reason for a trainer to make storyline related purpose to breed stronger Pokémon and strategically utilise stat moves, rather than storming their way through with brute strength

2) Greater breeding variety
Here I don't mean breeding 2 pokémon to produce a new one, or breeding legendaries.
As we all know, all pokémon have movesets and abilities. Some may also know that through certain breeding techniques they can learn certain moves or gain abilities otherwise unobtainable. I would like to see more variety in this, particularly the abilities part. It would be great to see certain pokémon being able to inherit abilities highly beneficial to them, something that makes them virtually invincible such as a Jolteon with Levitate or a Swampert with Volt absorb, rather more simple mixtures such as a Gengar with Bad Dreams or A Blaziken with Download.

3) All regions possible to visit
I'd say this is highly unlikely is there would be too much content available for the price of a standard pokémon game, but a man can dream. It would just be nice if, for their last game, they made it perfectly possible for you to become a true pokémon master by catching every pokemon, without the need to trade up from earlier generations. I like to groan a lot about how it has become near impossible to master your Pokédex since the introduction of event legendaries that can only be caught by gaining items through scarce nintendo events. I wouldn't exactly want them to throw Arceus at us, but would rather have them have multiple time periods where you could collect the necessary items from the WFC to catch them.
