It can be anything released in 2011, currently available or not. If you want, it can be browser based, downloadable or retail.
Oh, and games released in 2010 or before will not count.
Mine would be Crysis 2, 'cause of the run'n'gun gameplay, the stealth, new ablillitys, not PC exculsive, etc.

Diablo III, if it did happen to be released this year, through some miracle.

Other than that... Dragon Age 2 or Portal 2.

Well, definitely Bulletstorm and Dragon Age 2 won't be even close to be GOTY.

(I still haven't played Dragon Age 2, mind you, but from what I've heard, it won't be GOTY for many people)

My bet would be Skyrim, Brink, Deus Ex and/or Guild Wars 2.

I too have my fingers crossed for 'Dues Ex' or maybe 'Disgea 4' if it comes to the states in time.

Yeah, those are similar games, yeah. Don't judge me!

Honorable mention to 'Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom'.

Um... Well crap. I have not yet played any games released in 2011. From the current line-up of games that are released in 2011 that I plan to buy as soon as they come out, I suspect it will be either Deus Ex: HR, Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City, or Skyrim. It might be ME3 (I hope it is as good as 2), LA Noir, or GOW3. Heck, it could be Catherine for all I know.

I haven't played Majin yet, but I have it and it looks great.
I love disgaea, but i haven't finished 3 yet, so I can't get 4 >.<
You have similar gaming tastes to me. awesome! :D

Yeah, the year isn't over yet. I can't accurately guess if any upcoming games are going to be good.

Deus Ex: Hobo Repairman has a good shot at it, but I'm not sure how much the incredibly overt [small]SYMBOLISM!!!![/small] from the intro trailer will be present in the game. If there's a lot of it then it can go to hell.

Catherine has a good chance too, but it remains to be seen how well the gameplay works.

Portal 2 risks overstaying its welcome, and it's a full-price release. The first one was great, but it's hard to say if this will be just as good.

Deus Ex is most likely going to be my winner. Assuming it is going to be as good as everyone is expecting it to be. Other games which I do want to mention are Brink and Skyrim. Brink because of the pleasing visuals and fun gameplay I am expecting of it. Skyrim because they promised more of the Morrowind flavor in this installation. Morrowind would be my favorite game of the year if they released it again after all >:D

Catherine looks like it will get old pretty fast. it looks fast paced, but repetitive. in any case, I recently had my hotmail and steam hijacked (got my Steam one back) so i sign my posts, so friends know I am who I say I am.
If my post isn't signed, it isn't me, simple as that.

To be honest I haven't finished Disgea either, soon as DA2 is done, it's back to the Item World grind, I have an all monster team to lvl up. I can't imagine getting to lvl 9,999 tho. I really liked Majin, yet it has a few flaws. Probably the worst voice acting ever, and a bit glitchy, but I liked the rest of it a lot.

Although I am still playing through the first game, The Witcher 2 looks great and probably has my highest interest out of any major game. I am enjoying the first game and if the second can live up to its promises then it'll definitely be at the top.

So yea, Witcher 2 for my GOTY on the major platforms.

Dissidia Duodecim is hands down portable GOTY, no contest at all. It's an improvement in every way, packs double the content, the game play is even more fun. It's just overall a damn fine game and there is no other portable game that can contest to it.

Ah, I guess it makes sense if you know a lot of people on the site.

I'm still waiting to try Catherine hands-on before making any judgements, but as you said it could get repetitive. They've also implemented a 'super-easy' mode for people who just want the story, but that's probably more for VN fans.

To be honest, I'm not sure I trust Deus Ex: Humble Rhododendron's combat system either. Hopefully we'll get demos (ha ha).
