I can't accurately guess if any upcoming games are going to be good.
Deus Ex: Hobo Repairman has a good shot at it, but I'm not sure how much the incredibly overt [small]SYMBOLISM!!!![/small] from the intro trailer will be present in the game. If there's a lot of it then it can go to hell.
Catherine has a good chance too, but it remains to be seen how well the gameplay works.
Portal 2 risks overstaying its welcome, and it's a full-price release. The first one was great, but it's hard to say if this will be just as good.
Why do you sign your posts?Daedalus1942 said:Hoping it will be Deus Ex: Human revolution.
It sure as hell won't be Mass effect 3 *shudder*

If my post isn't signed, it isn't me, simple as that.

OT:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution has a chance based on what I've seen, but so do Arkham City (October release confirmed, I think), Gears 3, Mass Effect 3 (no way this is coming out this year, though), LA Noire, and probably some "come from behind" game that I'll love. It's happened before (Halo: Reach and Red Dead Redemption unseated Mass Effect 2 for my GOTY).
As for what I've already played though, Dead Space 2, hands-down. Weird as this may sound, I just bought Forza 3 and even though it came out last year I'm counting it as a "this year" release for me. It's absolutely amazing.

Mind if I join you in this fanwank, in a totally platonic way?Daystar Clarion said:Most likely Mass Effect 3, the Star Wars of our generation.
