Yeah, the year isn't over yet. I can't accurately guess if any upcoming games are going to be good.

Deus Ex: Hobo Repairman has a good shot at it, but I'm not sure how much the incredibly overt [small]SYMBOLISM!!!![/small] from the intro trailer will be present in the game. If there's a lot of it then it can go to hell.

Catherine has a good chance too, but it remains to be seen how well the gameplay works.

Portal 2 risks overstaying its welcome, and it's a full-price release. The first one was great, but it's hard to say if this will be just as good.

Hoping it will be Deus Ex: Human revolution.
It sure as hell won't be Mass effect 3 *shudder*

Why do you sign your posts?
Catherine looks like it will get old pretty fast. it looks fast paced, but repetitive. in any case, I recently had my hotmail and steam hijacked (got my Steam one back) so i sign my posts, so friends know I am who I say I am.
If my post isn't signed, it isn't me, simple as that.

It still might not be you.

OT:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution has a chance based on what I've seen, but so do Arkham City (October release confirmed, I think), Gears 3, Mass Effect 3 (no way this is coming out this year, though), LA Noire, and probably some "come from behind" game that I'll love. It's happened before (Halo: Reach and Red Dead Redemption unseated Mass Effect 2 for my GOTY).

As for what I've already played though, Dead Space 2, hands-down. Weird as this may sound, I just bought Forza 3 and even though it came out last year I'm counting it as a "this year" release for me. It's absolutely amazing.
if some random hijacks my hotmail account and gets these details, they most likely won't know that i add my signature to every post.

I think it will be Duke Nukem.

I'm still not getting the overt love for DA2. Its a fun game, but the environments are copy pasted to the point of obscenity.

Seeing as it's only March, I'm going with Dragon Age 2. This will likely change once ME3 and Skyrim and Deus Ex come out.

I think Rage is an excellent contender, and it isn't often mentioned on lists like this. Everyone jumps to mention Mass Effect 3, Skyrim etc (and with good reason), but Rage, like Brink, could be a genuine revolution for FPS.

Not necessarily the huge kind of revolution, but the Goldeneye, Halo: CE kind. The kind that quietly sets the new standard for years to come.

There's really very little I'm looking forward to this year. If Team ICO pulls out another masterpiece, it will likely go to The Last Guardian. Other than that, it would probably be Bastion.

It's way too early for this thread to exist, we just finished doing best of 2010s.

But, for the sake of humouring you, probably this:

Most likely Mass Effect 3, the Star Wars of our generation.

I'm guessing it's either gonna be Portal 2 or Uncharted 3.
But games like Deus Ex or The Last Guardian have a good shot of taking their place.
