The motto where I work is 'Per Ardua Ad Astra'- Through adversity to the stars.

I prefer, however; 'Nisi omni tentationi resistere' - Resist everything except temptation...

My favourite one is one i want to get tattooed on my forearm which is:

Which translates as 'no one shall provoke me with impunity'. Sometimes it is harms instead of provoke. Motto of three Scottish regiments in the British Army. Also:

'Nulli Secundus'

Which means 'second to none' and is the motto of the Coldstream Guards. Finally:

'Qua Patet Orbis'

Which means 'as far as the world extends' and is the motto of the Netherlands Marine Corps.
