What you actually liked about Green Lantern

Like most people I was thoroughly disappointed by green lantern and failed to either learn much about the lantern universe or just have a fun time watching an action movie. Since there is so much covering what went wrong with this movie, I'm asking if anyone found a piece of the movie you liked. If you liked the whole movie, tell us why.

For me a section that did pleasantly surprise me is when Green Lantern visits Blake Lively's character Carol Ferris after saving her earlier that night at the party. Reynolds tries to act cool in his new persona but gets immediately shut down when Lively recognises it's actually Hal Jordan. This has been an annoying thing that love interests who have seen both identities can't see who is actually behind a mask.

Hopefully the recognition it will bring to a less-than-mainstream but still vastly entertaining superhero.

Well to be honest, the bits in space that didnt involve all of the green lanterns blatently not doing their jobs and crounding around to chant, were pretty cool. The training and Tomar-Re had their genuinely entertaining moments. Problem is there is way to much shit to dig through when perfectly good piles of gold not buried in shit exist all around.

I think I'm one of the ONLY people who didn't hate Green Lantern. Yeah it wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I had a good time.

I heard it was terrible before I went to see it, but I went with three other people, and we all thought it was okay.

Would I see it again? Eh, maybe if I was seeing it with someone who had never seen it, but probably not on my own. Would I buy the Dvd? Definitely not. But it wasn't "eyeball rape", or anything like that.

At this point, the massive amount of hate this thing has received is WAAAAY disproportional to however bad it may be. I have no idea why MovieBob felt he had to devote ANOTHER video to bashing this movie.

Was it the worst superhero movie this year? Yeah, probably. Was it the worst superhero movie EVER? Not a chance, there are PLENTY of superhero flicks worse than this.

But I've gone off on a massive tangent here. What did I like about the movie? Same as the TC, that scene where he reveals his identity to Carol. That was a fun scene.

well to be honest the part at the end where words started moving down the screen to music shortly before we all stood up and walked out of the theater i think they are called credits... honestly i dont even remember any other part of it, but i still think the movie as a whole was better than district 9 which most people disagree with
