This thread could be enlivened somewhat if posters weren't allowed to mention politics, because frankly, who out of this entire site doesn't hate their government, or at least find it somewhat annoying? To get back on topic, I hate New England winters, what with the massive amounts of snow that I have to shovel out of the way.

Canada

The government currently voted into power was the only one with no plans for regulating ISPs pricing scheme.

EDIT:

Canada here, the only thing i dislike is the fact 75% of the english-Canadian people (and almost 100% of everybody else)i speak to seems to think all Quebecers are hell-bent on leaving, so i guess the "racism" (langism ? francophobia anyways) against french-Canadians (no, we're not french, we're french-Canadians) I love my country and i love my province, they aren't mutually exclusive.

Didn't the Bloc only have something like 4% support in Quebec during the last election? You'd think that stereotype would go away after that.

While I don't like the fact that some French Canadians actually convinced the government to spend millions on bilingual signs in Ottawa(they had to replace each sign, they couldn't edit them), I blame that on loud people being bitchy.

I hate how many in our government wants to take us back to the 50s. And how they think waging war will help that. Seriously the 50s can never happen again.

I hate the SNP. They want to make Scotland independent. I don't want this. I like being British.
Also rioters, they piss me off.

Mekado, I'm sorry if I offended you, I don't hate Quebec (I been there before and loved it) and everyone (Know people who lived in Quebec who are nice). Please correct me if i am wrong but it's just that some people in Quebec complains about other parts of Canada that they wouldn't do in Quebec (Example would be -Dragmire-'s example, Thank you) and want to be it's own nation and keep Canadian benefits. Why people just be happy what they got?

Ireland, well lets see:

1: Our country is a cultural wasteland, caused by the absolute control over society the Catholic Church had.
2: Leaving Cert.
3: We have the most broken second-level education system in the world.
4: Leaving cert.
5: Our government blatantly neglects the west and ONLY develops the east.
6: Leaving Cert.
7: Dublin City.
8: Leaving Cert.
9: Dublin accents.
10: Leaving Cert.
11: Leaving Cert.

Did I mention the Leaving Cert?

1) The Monarchy
2) The EXTREME hype Football gets and the amount of money people get for kicking a ball around a pitch for 90 minutes a couple times a week. (Tens of millions sometimes)
3) The fact we have a state religion (Fucking Henry VIII)
4) Reality TV shows. THEY ARE FUCKING EVERYWHERE. Seriously, X-Factor, Britains got talent, The apprentice, Thank God that Big Brother is finally gone.
5) The tabloid newspapers. The Sun, The Daliy Mirror, the daily star etc. Good to know News of the world is gone now.
6) The Chavs, not much needs to be said here.
7) School uniforms, one of the few things I envy about America. School uniforms need to fuck off.

I'm sure there is more but I can't be bothered thinking right now.

Still prefer to live in the UK to any other country at the minute though.

I hate how much we drink.

I hate our overwhelming sense of entitlement.

But most of all... I hate our narrow education system that fails to let our youth grow as people. 12 years of hardcore curriculum studies with little to no choice on what subjects you learn, and then before you know it - BAM! You're 17 and signed up to a degree that relates rigidly to one or two life careers. Have a secret interest in Music or Art History? Tough shit, you choose to study Marketing. Always wondered about International politics? Sorry mate, only Marketing for you between Now and Retirement.

I wish we had the American system of only picking a Major right at the end of undergraduate study; it allows more time to experience different topics and learn enough about yourself and your personal strengths to make an informed decision on how to spend your life. Expecting a 17 year old to know exactly what they want to be doing at aged 45 is ridiculous.

The Pale and anything in it (I'm from Ireland). I'm joking of course, but really anything I dislike about this country is based there. :/

Politicians is something that pretty much everyone is going to bring up I'd have thought, but the ones in the UK are a particularly contemptible breed.

Also, the dire social problems and lack of jobs in the country right now. If I don't find work soon-ish I might just have to go live on the streets...

I guess my main problem is how much of the UK just swallows what's printed on the front page of the newspapers each day.

I'd love to find out what percentage of UK residents have concerns about the immigrants flooding the country, and at the same time have never seen one.

On top of that, there's all the beliefs of EU rulings about bananas, that Christmas was cancelled in Birmingham, that eggs can no longer be sold in sixes or dozens, and hundreds more pointless, desperate articles of fearmongering against either the poor or the foreign.

I firmly believe that without the Mail, Express and the Sun, the BNP would never have got a seat in Parliament, and that Cameron may well have not got into power.

Also, I think we either need to BE the UNITED Kingdom, or break all ties with Wales, Scotland and Ireland and let them do their thing. I'd prefer us to all stay as one, but if popular choice says we need to split, then lets get it done. I personally
