One more complaint about lol, MAKE FUN ITEMS. All items are stats and i hate that, late game is all about who can kill the other guy faster and you pretty much 2-3 shot people solo late game which i kinda find dumb since there is no room for outplaying.
"oh look im a happy vayne, dodge ahris charm kill her in 3 hits" "aww shit he hit me with charm i die in the first second of charm" Gets kinda boring after a while
Games like League and Dota aren't about having fun. They're about winning. "Fun" doesn't raise your DPS/KDR (supposedly it's the other way around), therefore it is irrelevant. Incidentally, that's why the communities are shit.
OT: What would I like to see from League of Legends? a different game. Wait, wait... hear me out. The League of Legends multiverse has some impressive worldbuilding, and I would like to explore that world further, perhaps from a different perspective. It's like they put all this time and effort into creating the world of Final Fantasy X and all they let us do with it is play Blitzball. For example:
*An epic Atlus-style Tactics game (who am I kidding? game mode), a la Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem. The roster, mechanics, and lore could certainly support that without too much extra effort. (excluding story writing and scenario designs, of course)
*An Archon/Mechwarrior/Warhammer/Blood Bowl-style "Battle Chess" mode where players get to choose an entire faction instead of a single character... possibly building on or working from the previous suggestion.
*A Myst-like exploration of the different "ages", perhaps doing something interesting with Zilean, Malzahar, or Kassadin and their supposed transdimensional abilities.
*A Fighting game, in the style of Capcom's Cross/Vs series. Can you imagine it? Marvel vs Capcom 2 "team" mechanics with LoL characters? madness! (Dare I dream for a Legends vs Capcom? no, that would be too much to ask.)
*Character-specific sub-games unlocked with/by each Champ that delve deeper into his/her/its character and lore. Notice I say "sub-games", not "mini-games"; I expect a whole lot more than some lame Flash/iOS game, like "Poppy's Whack-a-Minion", "Kennen's Ninja Star Toss", "Ashe's Target Gallery", or "Eat the Village ft. Kog'maw"... actually that last one might be fun. heh.
I would also like to see something akin to Skylanders/Neopets, i.e. physical items one could purchase using whatever currency and link to the game to give a sense of real-life permanence to the virtual action figures... and the feeling of getting actual value for the $10+ they want for one goddamned skin. (Hell, if they could just send me a relevant trading card for every Champ/Skin purchase, I'd probably be less annoyed by that.) At the very least, I want a way to look at my collection (preferably offline) without having to waste time setting up throwaway matches.
