I'm currently playing Mortal Kombat, and I've been fighting Shao Khan at the end of the story mode for at least a half hour. I know that other people have been having trouble with him, and wanted to know 1: What strategies did anyone who DID manage to beat him use and 2: What did you want to do to the guy who made the fight after he beat you to death for the 50th time?

1: Back up, wait for his hammer toss or taunt. Attack, teleport, and repeat.

2: I want to ask, "why does his x-ray move do so much damn damage!" D:<

I'd show him Order Sol from GGXX:Slash and let him see what truly broken bosses are supposed to be like.

Demand that he give the game for free so I can actually experience this fight, perhaps?

well, let's just say this. This fight is nearly making me rage quit, and I've NEVER done that. The only thing stopping me is the fact that if I did, I would have to go through the entire bloody story again to unlock Quan-Chi, and it was bad enough trying to do it once.

I just completly blocked everything he did and then constantly hit him after a attack
AND I WOULD FORCE THE CREATOR TO PLAY WITH A BROKEN CONTROLLER, AND HAVE HIM BE FORCED to sit through the 12 second death sequence EVERY BLOODY TIME!!

I would advise him to look at games like Street Fighter 3 or 4 to see how you can create a tough but fair final boss instead of a garbage fight that has little to do with the actual game that leads up to it.

I've always been lucky at fighting games. I say that because I randomly use attacks that make no sense in any logical combo and I usually win.

Also, take pleasure in the fact that Shao Khan is not riding this thing:

Trust me, he's MUCH worse than that thing. First off almost half of his attacks are unblockable, he doesn't get knocked back a bit except for select attacks on the fist of the month if you're inhaling exactly 190 particles of dust in your left lung and wearing a blue shirt.

Here's my strategy:

1: Teleport behind him. Preferably as he does an attack.
2: Do the flying move.
3: when you build up an X-ray attack, do that instead of the flying move.
4: Repeat as necessary.

If Khan blocks the flying attack, teleport away, or do a crouch block, because nine times outta ten, he'd go for the hammer to the shins move. Also, don't try and get too fancy, because me getting fancy usually ended up with a hammer in my shins and a spiked shoulder guard in my face.

I know it's cheap, but it worked. And for added motivation, Quan Chi is awesome.

As for the guy, I'd smack him until Shao Khan, Kintaro and Goro are released as free DLC for all, and they make Zeus from God of War available for the PS3 in a month as DLC. Not so much for the Shao Khan battle, but because that would be awesome.

Oh a BLUE shirt. Damn and here i've been wearing cyan this entire time. well maybe after i change i can beat him since he's caused nearly 70% of all my loses in the game.

I had him going for only 15 minutes on Story mode and beat the crap outta him with Raiden and his teleport.
But let me tell you.
Expert, on Ladder, even with my best character on smoke. I just gave up.
I blinked and I got pulled into an epic combo that apparently even breakers don't knock him away.

I cried. I'm being serious too.
I cried in frustation. XD

No no, I only played one. You just have to be cheap against him. The best advice I'm sure anyone and everyone who has beaten it will give you is wait for him to do an attack, teleport, then hit him with an upercut or 1, 1, 2, 1.
Or is it 1, 2, 1, 2. Which ever one is Raiden. I believe its the last, Kung Lao is 1, 1, 2, 1.

Edit: What I would do to that guy? I would force HIM to play Shao Khan on Expert Ladder. With Cyrax. Yeah. I went there.

My own hate is Seth in Street Fighter 4. He's still cheap, just not as cheap. His move flowchart:

Q1: Is the enemy within grab range?
Yes: Grab them.
No: Grab them.

Lol, sounds just like Shao Kahn.

Is the enemy in range?
Yes: Spam stun and unblockable hammer.
No: Spam stun and unblockable hammer.

I personally would probably force him to fight him with a re-mapped controller (and I mean a REALLY messed up one), and if by some miracle he manages to win, I would throw a couch at his face in a blind rage.

Thanks for reminding me. I ESPECIALLY hate that you can't throw the damn guy. He seems to say "Oh, you want to grab me? HA! you're funny! Just for trying to touch me I'm now going to stun-lock you into oblivion and there's not a thing you can do about it." In fact, I wouldn't at all be surprised if were to start saying that as one of his taunts.

Speaking of overpowered fighting game bosses, Algol in Soulcalibur 4's Tower mode is nuts. He can't be ringed out, basically can't be Critical Finished, does a ton of damage, has a ton of health and defense, heals on hit (he gains almost as much health as he deals), and most of his attacks are unblockable. It's telling when the entire level is three of your guys against one, and he still wipes you out.
