From what I've heard, it's slightly above average. But I've heard very little of the so-called WoW killer, and it'll probably go the way of AoC.
Age of Conan? Never heard of it. ;)

Personally I'm fond of Warhammer online, moreso than I ever was of WoW which i played a fair bit. I think the tome of knowledge feature is awesome, and often I find myself perusing new entries to see what's in it. I think the actual areas look pretty decent and haven't seen to many glitches yet graphically speaking. I enjoy the combat and unique classes, and I really love the pvp. I'm looking forward to raiding a city at some point as well MUAHAHAHA!

All in all it gets a thumbs up from me personally, but then I'm also a fan of the table top Warhammer game and have world, so I'm probably a little biased.

Add the Meh? answer for don't really care/undecided.
Warhammer Online, like most MMORPG's upon release is quite buggy so people are waiting till they add more to it.
Lame misinformation is lame. Warhammer Online has had a huge amount of preorders and already is developing a big fan base. They just shipped 1.5 million copies to retailers in order to fuel the wave of preorders. Mythic is doing a fantastic job getting all the last few kinks worked out, so all the complaints here are actually already noted and have been fixed or are about to get fixed. It has also been commented that this game has had one of, if not the most stable launch of any MMO.

Warhammer Online shits all over WoW in every way, shape, and form. The PVE is better thanks to the streamlining Mythic did, and the PVP is better than anything I've ever seen. Don't cast your judgement on War's pvp based on just Tier 1. The first 10 levels are fun, but the classes really don't come into their own until level 10+ (though that's pretty normal for any MMO. Level 10 has always been the initial breakpoint.)

I have never had more fun from a MMO. Period. My guild took a keep yesterday after a massive fight, it was extreamly fun.

I've been playing it, running on minimum specs the game itself is good but they are lying with the minimum specs, my computer struggles with it and it is just above them. Public quests are an awesome touch, the PVP is nice and it has an overall good feel, like WOW with just a few extra things.

My biggest beef is their customer service is HORRENDOUS. My Beta Key did not work, I emailed them and they told me it was not valid and asked me to send a scan of my box. No problem, apart from they sent it from a NO REPLY email and their help form had no attach option. When I stated this I received no reply, and got no beta, or headstart. I bought my Pre Order from a HMV so its legit. Made me angry at their incompetence, I then realised I shouldn't be such a loser for caring so much, never the less, it is the worst customer service i've ever received and there was no phone line I could speak to.

I played through the beta. It was ok - very easy to get into, but kind of ugly, and the fact that it's (pretty much) all PvP means it lacks the slow-burning immersion factor of [alternative MMO's]. To me, it felt like what a console MMO would be like.

Wow, I am amazed at all of the replies. Thanks, but I still really haven't gotten the concrete evidence I need to waste 60 bucks on Warhammer Online. Tis is veering near a yes moreso then a no so keep putting up your various opinions and I just might find a friend I can watch while I decide!

And now the game's come out and barely anyone noticed.
Really? It's the fastest selling MMO of all time. I think some people have noticed.
