ok i am pretty sure that i am not the only one that is annoyed by this but, what the hell AAA games?!! why is it that basically everyone of your multiplayer games is now for only live, i get how this is maybe easier, but it makes me think that you all think that none of use have any physical friends. its becoming harder and harder for me and my friend to find a local co-op game to play at each others house, yes i have live but playing xbox live isn't as good as playing when the guy is right next to you. is it that hard? heck i don't care if big titles don't get local co-op, assassins creed series, elder scrolls, they are understandable, but can't we get back to the good old days of local co-op games, before we had xbox live or playstation network. i love the technology but i hate what it is doing to the creators.

PLEASE BRING BACK COUCH CO-OP!!!!!!!!

p.s
and maybe have some of them be fantasy-ish, space marines get boring after awhile

And that's why Halo will always continue to be the best multiplayer series of this console generation.

Agreed. Also, we need more RPGs with proper co-op, rather than mercenary co-op. Borderlands does it very well, scaling the enemies and loot to match.

The majority of games with online multiplayer have local multiplayer options. Personally i still play Timesplitters 2 with my friends but hey thats just me.

That philosophy was one of the big driving forces behind the Wii. When the "hardcore" crowd largely said "Screw the Wii, its motion control, crappy third-party support and lack of HD", many developers may have also read it as saying "Screw local multiplayer, online is the future." In that sense, maybe we reap what we sow?

Also, yeah, they know that charging us for two consoles, two copies of the game and two Live subscriptions makes a lot more money than one. That's what happens when a company like Microsoft makes a console.
