Whatever happened to game dogs?

So I've been wondering this for quite some time now... what ever happened to game dogs? It just sort of stopped and then vanished. Was it just not that popular or did something else happen?

I don't know, it sucked so bad I just didn't bother to watch anymore or check on it's status.

Game dog was not a show I had special interest in so I dont know but guess there werent many followers so ended up being canceled.

I think the Escapist dropped it in favour of some of the new shows.

It was actually created by Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, and he's been feeling depressed lately.

I can understand why it had to go, but it just up and vanishing without any sought of...explanation (as far as i can remember anyways) annoys me.

Maybe some people realized that personal attachment to one's creation is no reason to keep it going against overwhelmingly negative criticism.

I would say its removal has been for the better, but if I look at Creature Caster Blaster Master Whatever as taking its place... Let's just say The Escapist should keep experimenting and listening to feedback.

I believe the viewership was low, and most people didn't like it. It probably wasn't generating enough income to justify it's continuing creation and as thus was done away with.

I never watched it. It looked atrocious and I decided it was best to judge this book by its cover. I haven't watched many video series on the Escapist for a while now come to think of it. I watched the odd Apocalypse Lane episode, but Doomsday Arcade was the last series I fully watched I think.

I'm still sad that they aren't showing the third series of Unforgotten Realms...

I'm guessing popularity of it was not good enough to justify it's continuence. I did hear some pretty unpopular decisions were made during season 2.

It was not popular. I haven't ever seen anyone post on the forums that "Gamedogs" was their favourite show. With a site that has very popular video series like "Zero punctuation", "Escape to the movies", "Unskippable","Unforgotten realms" etc it was very hard for it to get a following.

I'd say that after the overwhelmingly negative feedback (that was absolutely warranted IMO) they got for the episode where they killed off the girl (I forget her name), they just gave up.
