What're you gonna do in PS3 downtime?

the usual things that I do since I don't even have a PS3. Play my Xbox360, get on the internet, try to get by in school, go to rehersals, plot various things

Goddammit. I got backwards compatibility thanks to my fat PS3 and now I have to deal with this whole downtime shit.

Luckily, I was so busy over the weekend that I didn't even turn it on. I'll just chill with friends in the meanwhile.

Have fun on your pc when Steam goes down, or when you can't play warcraft because of maintenance

I will! Because only a handful of the hundreds of games I own require Steam to run, and I don't play World of Warcraft. Immune I say!

Well the PS3 is ka-put world-wide.

It's only for the fat PS3. PS3 slim works fine.

The PS3 fat is dead? What? When did this happen? Did they all shut down randomly or something?

Sony says do not play your (fat only) PS3 until they fix it. It even effects your (fat only) PS3 offline.

Hmm my fat seems ok.
I didn't turn it on and warned my roommates against it.

I took the time and wrote a letter to Sony. I told them what they could do with the PS3 in the future. Also I thought about putting my PS3 on eBay. Maybe I'll do that later today.

Sony, you really did all you could do destroy the PS3 for me. Nice job guys!
Finally it's time to get back to the good old PC with all the DRM pain .... oh wait, that's crap, too!

And I said I thought about it. Never said I did. I still love some games way to much to sell them. But I still hate Sony for all they've done.

Wow, touchy! I have plenty of friends who have gone through 3-5 Xbox's and still continue with them. This is the first hiccup I've had with the PS3, so whatever, it's life (and the problem only lasted 1 day).
But if you're insistent on selling, whatever man, do what you have to to do. I hear the PC is really reliable and never gets any viruses or has people hack your game or anything...

EDIT: For all the PC fanboys, no flaming. I have a PC too and game on it sometimes (Civ, Morrowind, etc...), so I really don't care.

XBox Fanboys FTW I would say.
But to be fair the PC is still a good platform. Even if EA and UBI is working on killing it.

I have a thin PS3, I am safe from this bug or not? I'm just glad I got mine this past month and haven't had time to hook it up yet. I'd have a stroke if my PS3 had those errors right after I bought it.
