What're you guys doing/done on your birthday?

Work or go to class. Birthdays stop being fun once you actually have to have things like a job or college classes.

Unless your birthday happens to fall on a free weekend. Then I will sometimes go to a bar. When a friend of mine turned 21 we took her to a gay bar. That was funny.

This Sunday is Jimmas, so - in accordance with the tradition - we (my wife, my brother, a whole whack of our buddies and I) are going to our favourite Irish pub and drinking until they kick us out.

And Monday is Boxer Day. The day wherein we don't bother getting dressed or going to work if it can be helped.

Only if you want them to. I managed to do pretty well by taking every October 25th off when I was in University. Same with St Patrick's Days, too.

And work's fairly accommodating if you give 'em enough warning in advance.

for the last 9 years I´v been working every birthday.
and the "geting older, not being in school and working 50 hour´s a week" havent realy been so good to my relashionship whit my friend´s.

It's my 20th on the 4th November.

I'm spending it asleep, since on the 3rd I'm staying up all night to talk to students who call the university student help hotline. On the 5th my mum's coming up and wants to have a proper meal.

Yes, I specifically requested the duty on the 3rd, to stop people from making me celebrate my birthday. I haven't celebrated any major holiday bar Christmas in nearly four years.

I HATE my birthday, in my school they make something we call "malteo" in chilem that consists on people grabing each of your limbs and kick you in the back.

It hurts like shit.... but you get your revenge sooner or later.

I didn't have a party or anything either, but I did go and get my Learner License.

My 19th I got a group of us about 20 and we camped out in some woods and got wrecked. It was an awesome night.

What I have done up until now, enjoy the 4th of July with my family. Then on the next day, which is my actual birthday, go out to lunch with my parents or enjoy a few barbecued steaks with my dad.
However on my next birthday, enjoy the 4th of July with my family as usual except after the fireworks show I will split with my friends and enjoy some whiskey sours and GT's for my 21st.
