i study english lit at university so all i do is read :)

atm i'm on a room of one's own by virginia woolf, it's basically a pro-feminist essay but it's amazing, a really interesting perspective into a (once?) patriarchal-ruled society.

Uh...well, technically, it was "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" by...someone. But I found it to be just as boring to read as the original "Pride and Prejudice." The style is just the same. x_x

So I stopped reading that. Other than that, it was the drama Equus by Peter Shaffer and I absolutely loved it! :D

The Wheel of Time: Crown of Swords - Robert Jordan. That was the last book I read, currently working on Path of Daggers by the same author, eighth book.

I've been reading a story a friend of mine is writing. About the only thing I've been reading lately to be honest. Still having trouble getting into reading novels. =S Totally getting me down as well. Used to be such an avid reader.

Coraline, for school, I swear it... who am I kidding, I love Neil Gamins work, and Grapes of wrath, the most boring book in the history of man.

Reading "Demon haunted World" by Carl Sagan, The Portable Henry Rollins, and re-reading Steven Erikson's Tales of the Malazan series before I crack the new one.

Currently reading "House of Leaves." Very interesting book, it uses many unique visual elements to aid in its storytelling. Has anyone else read it?

Just finished reading the first two "Death's Head" Books by David Gunn, currently ordering in the third.

It's an okay read. It's very high testosterone and at the end of the first book it seemed a little too "God Mode Unlocked" for my liking, but I still found it entertaining and it kept me interested which is all I really ask for from a book.
Well, that and a decipherable writing style, plot line and a mildly intelligent author.

Kite Runner. That book was fucking depressing, but I read all 370 something pages in one night because it was so good.

I just finished reading Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. It was one of the greatest books I have ever read, honestly.

I'm reading Maestro by Phillip Goldsworthy for school, and I'm reading Nineteen Eighty-Four for me. I like Nineteen Eighty-Four better, Maestro is ok, but it's not really my cup of coke.

Cool, lots of Stephen King fans. I'm currently reading The Dome and it's very old school King at the beginning, it can be a bit drawn out but the bad guy is so well written that he's actually pissing me off. I want him dead lol.
I'm also reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, which I see someone else is reading. It's really well written for a teen book, very quick paced.
I''m also reading Inkwell. This series is supposed to also be in the "teen" section but it's more of a mature writing I find, much akin to Harry Potter. Loving that series, and will be sad when I finish the trilogy.
I've found some old books from my cleaning out my Dad's house and will be starting some of those: I'm reading Mostly Harmless from Hitchiker's Guide, which my father introduced me to. He had to translate many of the words when I was younger (since he was British) and will be starting Demons Don't Dream by Piers Anthony when I'm finished one of the above.

Yea like someone else mentioned, I read a lot of books at the same time. I also read other's posts ;) since I actually do enjoy reading what others' opinions are.

I'm currently reading The Boy who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba.

Really good nonfiction, man.

Dan Brown's newest novel Lost Symbol

It was as bad as I knew it would be.
This. I know it's trash writing mixed with scientific babble but it's ADDICTIVE trash mixed with scientific babble. I feel like my mind has to take a shower after every time i read it because it's just so bad but i can't stop.

But besides that i've been reading the Horus Heresy series and i must say I'm quite enjoying it.

Some completely asinine book about a teenage girl in WW2 that sucked so much ass. It had no development of anything at all. I read it in about 25 minutes.
