Well tommorrow MS and Sony will attempt to dazzle us with there e3 pressers. What are you expecting from each of them. Personally from MS I'm expecting some more info on that Crytek game that was announced last year, Halo, Gears of War 3, some third party timed exclusives and Kinect. With Sony I imagine they'll be some grovelling, Twisted Metal, Uncharted, Resistance, PSP, Move and other stuff. Plus the usual surprises from both.

I'm not expecting anything amazing from either company, it will be the standard "Here's the new games coming", and maybe something about windows 8?

Well Microsoft will probably have Gears 3, Mass Effect 3, and possibly some more Halo titles. Sony will have more on the new PSP and more info on Twisted Metal, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, new Ratchet and Clank, and more move stuff. And of course Nintendo will just have new Mario and Zelda like last year.

The sad part is that the statement is completely true.

Is Nintendo not apart of this option because we know it'll be awesome? Because I'm not too sure about that controller...
That's the assumption. Expectations are *high* for Nintendo this year. If they aren't the talk of E3 at the end, it would be a major letdown.

Only this time there's going to be some KEY GAMEPLAY changes to make the game more exciting and they're going to be taking the series in a NEW DIRECTION, in a word the series is going to be RE-IMAGINED but we're sure that fans of the series are going to ENJOY this change as much as us!

Hehe sorry, I'm not too bothered about Sony because I don't own a PSP/3, I'd be interested to see if there are any games for the Windows 7 Phone because I was expecting a little bit more when I got Xbox Live on mine...

Microsoft will have the usual Gears/CoD slots, likely with something Halo related thrown in. They'll probably unveil a shit ton of Kinect software, since they haven't really bothered supporting it up to now.

Sony will roll Jack Tretton out, and he'll go on about how each of their consoles has a ten year life cycle and talk for longer than anyone cares about each platform's sales figures over the last year.

Not that i can stop Nintendo from making more money. But I honestly don't see who could still like their products. The Wii was kind of Gimmicky from the start, and I'm glad i found Yahtzee and his reviews because he tells it the way I've been saying it for years. Franchises thrive on fandom. There's nothing wrong with releasing games that have been the staple of your company on every new platform, or updating existing graphics. While I think a re-release of Halo 1 and 2 for the 360 in a combo pack for 30 bucks with HD graphics would be sweet, but because of fans wanting the same things new franchises just don't bud anymore because too much energy is focused on sequels. Or trying to impress idiots with fancy motion controls or 3D. As long as you are saying "Yeah, well you can still use a controller if you want to" you're saying "Motion control is nice, but its not perfect." Until you get virtual reality, i say stick to the controller/TV format that has served you piles of money for years, and unless they release god of war for an Xbox 360 (which won't happen of course because its a Sony Franchise) I honestly don't care what they bring out.

I'd like to see some stuff from games I'm looking forward to. I'm not going, but my girlfriend is gonna do camerawork there for a dutch gameshow called 'Gamekings' (ring any bells) So I'll see what she shot afterwards.

Well, considering that least year was just embarrassing for Sony and Microsoft, they better be able to pull something impressive out of their hats. They were too busy plugging their own motion control bullshit while Nintendo unveiled a long list of guaranteed-hit-type franchise games. All Nintendo has to do is continue to know what its fanbase wants. Which is pretty easy.

And so long as Sony and Microsoft don't do anything as pathetic as trying to leap on the motion control bandwagon, they should do alright. But they'll probably slither into the sequel snuggie too.

Tomorrow, I expect Microsoft to say "Let's go see how else we can make money today.". And as for Sony, I expect them to say "Let's go see how else we can make money today.". These are businesses, in the market to make money.

Announcement of Bungie's new project.
Announcement of Halo: Combat Evolved HD remake (with Live support!).
Lots of shitty Kinect shovelware that no one gives a flying fuck about.

Sony... probably a 30 minute apology to their customers for that PSN debacle.
Lots of PSP2 game announcements.
